I don't think governments are going to restrict the Internet to that degree, but you have to remember Google's browser engine is use in everything from Chrome to Edge to Brave. A much more likely scenario is some sort of walled garden built into the browser that keeps you away from problematic sites, and all us shit posters are using Lynx or Dillo or some shit. You type in kiwifarms.net on Chrome and get a screen informing you that the site could be dangerous and therefore it is blocked. The Internet is not segregated in this scenario, but the World Wide Web is. I think a fractured World Wide Web where you have to use certain browsers to access certain sites, and you're only going to be able to access sites like Kiwi Farms through obscure browsers as opposed to mainstream ones is where we're headed.

Everyone is told on the first day of their first web-dev job that you either keep that shit locally or preferably use VCS's environment variables where the necessary information gets injected through a CI/CD file. How somebody thought this is okay, passed a merge request, and QA is beyond me.

it’s very weird that so many people are surprised how much some of these streamers are making. autists have been accurately tracking DSP’s take for years. all you need to do is watch a stream and do addition.

Weirder that people are upset at big streamers for making so much. It's not their fault, instead focus your outrage at the people giving them the money and the overall misallocation of resources that's driving the whole planet into the ground.
