I don't really think it's fair to be upset with streamers for making so much, it's probably the least exploitave path to being rich there is. It's more funny than anything how much they make doing what they do. I'm not going to put them on a pedestal and call it hard work, but to dismiss it as "not a real job" is a wagie cope. You could hash-order the array and get log(n) lookup

So not only is Twitch's cut higher than initially thought, it's also higher on smaller streamers

These people act as though this is unusual in their industry when it isn’t. If you are a Twitch streamer you are an entertainer like a concert pianist or actor. If you are a larger draw you get paid more and, just like Hollywood, the barrier of entry is rock-bottom but your chance of hitting it big is infinitesimal.

It staggers me that so many people throwing their hat into the ring believe this is somehow different just because you don’t have to leave your bedroom or change your underwear to do it.

Tooling Issue as in an issue with the janny tooling. Imagine there’s some stuff that needs to be handled but the basic janny tool doesn’t have that feature to do it or crashes when you try to use it. It escalates it to someone with more technical wizard abilities so that they can resolve the issue instead.

It is ugly, but you see similar shit all the time for internationalization code, esp around country codes and country names. People are acting like the code is if (i == 7) print "fizz" else if (i ==10) print "buzz" else print "idk" type garbage, but the reality is some things aren't enumerable. You fundamentally can't predict nigger homophones in a way that you form a complete nigger adjacent set.
