It's an EMERGENCY vaccine. And by the way, erradication of a disease from vaccines happens when a grand majority of the population gets vaccinated. That's why the Pakistanis still have polio. I don't know if you guys read any of the testimonies from people who had a bad case of covid, but lessening the symptoms does strike me as a good fucking deal.

Speaking of vaccine mandate stupidity do you want to hear a story that will make you bang your head against a wall out of sheer idiocy?
I went to work a security shift at a local nursing home this morning and they did the usual screening questions, change the masks, etc... that they always have me do and then the woman doing it asks me if i'm vaccinated. I say no and she gets this really odd concerned look and tells me that their policy is that i'll have to have it to work there in the next few weeks, and goes on to explain that their policy is that staff are not currently required to be vaccinated (but will by november) but visitors have to be, then goes on to point out that if I was a visitor I wouldn't have been allowed access to the building as a result of their current policies.
Stop and think about that for a second. That means I literally can spend 12 hours with a resident without an issue because i'm staff at the time, but if I got off my shift, went home, changed and went back as a visitor to see the same resident an hour later i'd be denied entry because I am not vaccinated
Fucking idiot logic at its finest. She then went on to lecture me about the vaccine and kept asking if I had booked an appointment and knew how to, and how important it is. Lady, you're a fucking CCA, I probably have more medical training and a better education than you do, I even make more an hour doing security than you do wiping peoples asses so stfu and mind your own business
I swear this vaccine mandate nonsense is making everybody squirrely in the head. Hell I stopped to get some pork chops on the way home, forgot to put my mask on and nobody even mentioned it, staff or customer and I didn't even notice until I was in the checkout line. So figure that one out. Clearly people can't be too concerned about everything at this point so why are these places going batshit over it
