They thought they had locked down the internet, but the kid figured out how to get around it (or used it at her best friend's house). Lady finally put a keystroke logger on her computer to track down what her kid was doing so she could figure out who she was talking to. Turns out it was a bunch of girls who wanted to be boys (and were also super into anime).

In that online group every single one of them claimed to have abusive parents. So this kid did the same. She was telling outrageous stories about her mom being alcoholic and abusive. About how her brother (who didn't even exist) had fathered a kid and then ran off and left the kid and now she was having to raise this kid and protect it from the abusive mom. Dad ran away because the mom was so toxic and left the kids behind. Very tragic tale. None of it true. Mom and Dad were still happily married. Mom was not a drinker and had never been an alcoholic. Nobody was a teen parent. The lady was incredibly hurt and ready to have a nervous breakdown that her kid would lie about her like that.

And it got worse from there. Once she got restricted from internet/phone, the kid got pissed and started telling her teachers that mom was an alcoholic and she had to do all the cooking and cleaning and that's why she wasn't getting her work done or failed a test. Once one of the teachers broached the subject of mom's "problem drinking", they finally started family counseling. It took years to undo the damage that those lies caused. And that lady was legit scared that her daughter would lie the next time she got angry and she'd end up getting a visit from social services or something worse.

I've no doubt that a shitty childhood can screw a kid up and lead to trooning out. But, I honestly think it's mostly cult like grooming that makes it happen. A sane, happy person isn't going to fall for a cult. But crazy, messed up people will. And they lie about being women -- something that is easily proven to be false. There's no reason to think that they have a problem lying about anything else, especially not a childhood story that is much harder to disprove. And especially not when one upping childhood trauma stories seems to be a very troon thing.

I'm not sure how you ever get past something like that. I love my kids, but if one of them trooned out and became an absolute asshole, I'd have to love them from very far away. I can't quite understand the lasting hatred one would have toward circumcision.
