He also says that people like to pretend they are critiquing islam but actually they are just racist because there is no evidence of threat from islam. I actually cant believe there is nothing in there about how western society clashes with key tenets of Islam. Nothing about recent events like that teacher Gary Kibble who respectfully talked about Charlie Hebdo and depictions of Muhammed. The teacher was suspended and got numerous death threats and there were protests with the school having to apologise. Nothing about the grooming gangs where police were fearful to look into it for fear of being called racist. Nothing about the Manchester arena bomber who was clocked as being suspicious but people were afraid to say anything because he looked middle eastern.

He finishes up by essentially saying Britain is a failed state, yeah alright dude just fuck off to the middle east then. I'm sure you will have a much better time there.

AFAIK France has a "centralized" French identity - they nearly erased most of the small local languages like Occitan or Breton in creating it. While this means most people sharing this common French identity - more specifically, Maghrebi Arabs - should be able to easily assimilate in France it also means a fairly harsh punishment for Muslims not adhering to the very strict separation of church and state, causing hijinks similar to the Muslim woman denied Swiss citizenship because she refused to shake the hand of the male immigration officer.
Practice is obviously different and several degrees more complicated considering the existence of low-income banlieues (French 'hoods), but it definitely is not a colonialistic remnant.

TL;DR Olly is seeing racism where there's none. He's an actual hack fraud, and not in the endearing way.
