Heilberg's his lawyer, not his social worker. He can give Chris advice what to say and do in court, and negotiate a plea bargain for him, but he has no power nor obligation to control what Chris says or does in jail, unless his civil rights are somehow being violated.
I dunno, asking for someone to call the president to give you a full pardon sounds pretty insane to me.
I'm pretty sure Heilberg isn't "gathering information" at all. He surely knows the facts of the case are already as bad as they can possibly be (short of an actual video surfacing) and won't get better. His job at this point is to tard-wrangle Chris into not doing something stupid like demanding a full jury trial, and work the various angles to convince a judge to give him a break, let him plead down to a lesser charge or whatever.I just thought about this: will Chris’s lawyer end up lurking his threads to gather information for his case.
He's too egotistical to know how to behave in the face of actual punishment.

Not sure if anyone said this because there's like 10 more pages I didn't read, but he'd probably ask them to call him Jesus now, lol.
Oh, it proves he's an idiot who doesn't understand how the law works and is in denial of how serious of his situation is, but it also demonstrates he at least has a basic awareness of reality. If he'd asked Kengle to write to President David Palmer to ask for a pardon, and to try engaging Atticus Finch and Phoenix Wright as his legal team, then we might be talking.
Chris knows that society considers his actions wrong, but he's convinced that he's superior to the rest of humanity.
