Most therapists do more harm than good. Unless she got lucky and landed one who isn’t averse to criticizing patients or telling them what to do, she’s just pissing away somebody’s co-pays in therapy. With good therapy, often the patient plunges into a depression at first as they realize how much they’ve fucked up and how far they are from where they want to be. I hope for Faith’s sake that she’s gone through this painful but necessary stage of corrective growth.

The only thing is I actually do think Ralph abused her. If she weren’t so young, I’d say she had some culpability in that. Bearing in mind what I've seen about her past, I think Faith needs a lot more than just counseling, but at least that would be SOMETHING that might help to not repeat history. Was she on a 5150 hold once or twice while she was with Ralph?

Good therapy could help her a lot, it’s just not easy to find. For someone whose brain is addicted to internet attention, minimum 90 days of inpatient psychiatric treatment or 90 days of daily 12 Step meetings to stay offline would be ideal.
