What is it with Niji EN lecturing about the rules in the chat pin? They've all done it for a while after debut and it filters me so hard. You virtually never see that shit from any JP chuubas and hell the only Holo EN girl I can remember that's done it was early Ina (and one time with a gura/calli collab like six months ago but I assume there was a reason I wasn't aware of for that one). I'm guessing they all have the same anal-retentive manager and it's their fault? I don't follow Niji close enough to know how managers work for them.
?
EN chatters are collectively dumb cunts. The talent's initial set of recurring viewers are probably going to form the core of their fanbase and it helps if the ones setting the culture/mood of the chat have some idea of the rules.

In my opinion the ones who tried to wrangle their chats early on currently have chats that, while still dumb af, are slightly less of a cesspool than those that were too scared to do anything.

That sounds about as reliable an assessment as a palm reading.
there's other factors to take into consideration but the high pitched voice thing is not a shot in the dark. years of listening to loveline and adam and drew guessing right off the bat that a female caller has been abused lends some credence to it.

Maybe I just haven't paid enough attention. I do close the chat a lot of the time, admittedly. The only chats I can remember ever being annoying are JP chuubas with higher English speaking regulars, like for example Korone, because the English speaking regulars try super hard to police the passersby chatters over every little thing. Like, I don't know, people telling Korone to go to sleep and the regulars start spamming not to tell her what to do, it's often disproportionate. I think most EN chats go by too fast for me to pick up annoying patterns. But hey, it's not like I'm against chat moderation, I'm just against being lectured. I'll take your word for it.

Someone in Pippa's chat just asked about the possibility of male collabs and she said that she's pretty sure all of Phase-Connect are banned from them completely. And I'm a bit confused, because the PhaseCon girls don't follow any of the other idol conventions whatsoever, nor are they overtly catering to GFE. Kind of a weird choice to completely restrict them like that.

Thats odd, even small companies and Nijisanji can do it, why not Phase Connect?

A lot of time off.

Do any of you follow male vtubers? I'm aware there is a fanbase here for holostars. But personally, I have zero interest in any male vtubers. Even girls I follow who have collabs with male vtubers, I'll probably skip it because it doesn't really interest me. I'm not looking for GFE mind you and I'm not one to push rrats about them fucking if they collab. It really comes down to that I'd rather hear anime girls voices than anime guys voices.

Bonnivier was fun to watch when he collabed with Selen. Haven't checked out much of his solo stuff, but he seemed chill.

I know the mooncels get way too parasocially involved with their pretend women but it doesn't make sense. I have a hard time believing Pippa has Japanese fans. I love her jokes but she and a lot of her mates (save for Tenma) really gear their stuff to a western audience. How well is Metokur style humor going to land with the average Japanese? Placing rules to protect a largely nonexistent Japanese fanbase while your talent does fuckall to actually court the Japanese watchers is all around bizarre.

I follow a couple of Niji guys because they play stuff I like, but they're not too high on the priority list if I need someone to stream and lots of people are online. Amusingly, I found them all through watching female Niji collabs and never through word of mouth. If you aren't filtered by his flaming queer live2d, Chaika is hilarious, even if you know little runespeech.
