Evergrande Financial Panic - Corona is not the only Contagion China is exporting

Honestly depends. Not every Chinese company is involved with real estate, but when ~65% of your domestic economy is based on it (compared to ~10% of the American economy) you will be looking at fallout in unrelated sectors. Whether that fallout extends over here is the elephant in the room. American exports will be affected since Chinese demand would slacken, but whether it also translates into increased costs for Chinese exports is anyone's guess (since western economies are constrained more by logistics than actual supply currently).

Only thing you can bet on is that no one knows what's going to happen - and if you haven't already done your Christmas shopping you should probably rectify that very soon.

It's not directly related to the evergrande stuff but the entertainment investments in china are desperate to move out, especially animation and games, since the CCP have been pushing insane new rules. They knew a crackdown was coming but they still refused to budge until now, thinking the rules wouldnt be so bad

Or they won't be available for any price. Debt runs the world and if the Chinese credit market has a heart attack all those factories will be shuttered. They won't be able to aquire the raw materials to build.

They're going to be getting their raw materials from afghanistan, it's the whole reason america was pulled out so bizarrely and messily in such a rush

Question for anyone to answer that has been floating around in my head for a while.

What happens to real estate markets that have heavy exposure to Chinese buyers/investment?

I'm thinking Straya, NZ, Canada and the US off the top of my head.

Does the whole thing burn to the ground while everyone panics and tries to liquidate their holdings?
I sure hope so. If house prices in China-infested markets like the West Coast or NYC collapse (and along with it rent), that will slow the tide of the freaks from those states infesting the rest of the country. It's easier to tough out the rolling lockdowns, BLM riots, and hobos passed out in their own shit when you aren't totally paying out the ass for the privilege to live in that squalor.

The Chinese-Afghan border has been closed for decades and is basically impassable for hundreds of miles for anything more complex than literal drug mules. There is no infrastructure but the exact same trails people walked over for millennia.

Afghanistan's infrastructure is probably the worst in the world outside of the shittiest parts of Africa so they can't move much of it to Pakistan or Iran to ship to China. And shipping it by sea means the US/India can intercept it which is the exact reason China has their New Silk Road development scheme (the debt traps for third world countries where China invests in infrastructure). And that's assuming they can mine it to begin with since most mining development in Afghanistan has failed because of terrorists who demand protection money and blow shit up when they aren't paid. Taliban will probably continue that (because they need to keep local warlords loyal) except instead of terrorism it's now just state-sponsored corruption.

The main things the US and Canada export to China is Currency, and in some cases Energy resources. Not a huge market for foreign manufactured goods. And most Western Businesses that rely on Chinese Factories started diversifying to spread out to include Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, MAlaysian and Indian factories as well to avoid any single point of failure.

There's a huge market for foreign luxury goods, but aside from that, China is importing a ton of soybeans, beef, and grain (mostly animal feed, from the US, Australia, Brazil, etc. This is very important for keeping China fed and keeping food prices low in China. China is also a huge investment market for foreign companies, so if shit isn't selling to the domestic Chinese market because nobody has money, the company (with its CCP links) would try and cut out the Western investor to raise money.

The mining failed because western political powers were held back by criticism and lack of support for killing innocents to kill terrorists to protect their financial interests.
China has no such compunctions, they will act in "partnership" with afghanistan until they decide they dont want to pay protection money anymore and murder the fuck out of them and put them into camps and even if they fail to eradicate the terrorists they dont give a fuck about getting their own people killed there like we do.
The willingness to do this is one of the reasons big money turned against america and into supporting china to begin with

I left out Lebanon because their problems are nothing like what's going on in India or China - and it is not a producer of things we need. Electronics / dishwashers for China and all of the Pharma industry for India.
A surprising amount of electrical materials (I.e.: construction materials that electricians use for their trade) are made in India, at least for the usually commercial stuff. A lot of conduit compression fittings are made in India, for example. Conduit straps/supports, too.

I won't be surprised if more things will arrive from India in the years to come.

The financial panic in China had caused some casualities in the auto industry.

Chinese wholesale vehicle sales plunged in September, according to newly released data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers.

Passenger vehicle wholesales were down 16.5% YOY to 1.75 million units, Bloomberg noted Tuesday morning.

The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers predicts for a weaker full year auto market due to chip and power shortages, it said. It expects the chip shortage to ease up in Q4 of this year, marking yet another prediction amongst a sea of confusion between manufacturers and analysts as to when the global shortage will end. Other analysts and several automakers have commented that the chip shortage could continue into 2022.

Despite the dip, there were a couple silver linings. The CAAM has been forecasting pickup truck sales to rise by more than 1 million units by 2030, from 414,000 in 2020.

New energy vehicle wholesales also continued to be robust, up 148.4% to 357,000 units.

Recall, in August, total automobile sales (including to companies) plunged about 22%, the biggest decline since last March when the nation was still in lockdown to control initial Covid cases.

The contagion is spreading. Another Domino has fallen.

The news media are LYING right now. Ffs, this is kiwifarms. Do I really need to say this? This is not under control. The Chinese government lost control YEARS ago. This cannot be stopped.

Kiwis, you have 3 weeks at most to get ready. If I am wrong hurray, call me a doom pilled faggot. I will take it gladly. Because I don't want to be right.
fuck that; if you genuinely believed the bullshit you'd spew you'd risk posting nudes if you're wrong. When i make predictions i promise anal insertions, nudes, and abortions. i can call you a faggot anytime i want. you need to put up some risk to help you learn not to doom pill. also you have 2 weeks
I have no clue why that is specifically, but I'd imagine it has a lot to do with the fact that provinces are pretty much left to fend for themselves. The ccp leaves province funding up to the provinces themselves, and I would assume this includes their socialized health care funding.
hilarious, the authoritarian CCP is more into states rights than the yankees,

This should give you a good idea of the situation up until recently.
