if she was genuinely serious about wanting to be a tattoo artist, then all of these wouldn't be an issue. the problem with that though is that, other than her art being extremely low quality (which in itself isn't a huge deal, she could still get apprenticed at a shitty shop), she would have to be consistent enough with putting together a portfolio containing various subjects/styles AND be ready for rejection after rejection - it's a hard industry to break into. Can Anisa even enter the workforce again without flipping burgers or something? She has:
A giant gaping hole in her resume where she did nothing for a decade+
A body almost (please tattoo the face) completely covered in ink
A horrifying online footprint thats just a quick google search away
A husband with a near equal online footprint
Probably more i forgot.
I don't know how important the resume thing is in america, but in my country a decade where you did nothing means you will never ever work again. Even at burger king.
You'd think the reality that she will rely on a man for money for the rest of her life would set in and she would stop destroying her body, but she never thinks.
if she had been smart, she would have gotten tattooed by several different artists (NOT apprentices needing skin to work on - fully established artist that have trained in the past) and spoken with them about the industry and potentially getting an apprenticeship there. the best way to get an apprenticeship is by forming a relationship with your prospective mentor.
but she's an idiot who got random, inconsistent tats from a guy needing practice and now won't have the sort of space needed to form that sort of relationship with an actual artist.
