I do think Uto's done a good job or closing that chapter of her career and her channel and content are very organic and the girl has even turned APEX into the ultimate networking. She's smart, nice and precious.

I think it's more of people not really wanting to hear every stream about Connor or other TT members. It's like back in November when Mori could not stop mentioning Charlie but difference is that her members are same kinda people that watch those anitubers and there is no push back.

If you'll allow me a bit of a sperg on the topic of male collabs. Why is it that they refuse (or aren't allowed?) to collab with their own male colleagues, but happily collab with males outside of the Hololive sphere? This is the one thing that bothers me, otherwise I couldn't care less. Holostars have some great talents that deserve to be signal-boosted, yet they're being ignored constantly by their own company.

Maybe some of them have asked but Stars don't want to. We know that Roberu has plenty of times said no to Fubuki when she has asked and i would not past the other Stars doing the same.
It's not like they need Holos for the boost anyway as seen by Roberu being smart and collabing with other vtuber agencies without having to walk on the egg shells.

We (Hololive Basement) are not connected to Poka/Hololive Historian by any means. He got banned from our servers 3 months ago, and not me nor other admins haven't talked with him since that. We don't know where he is now nor what he is up to.

We have no idea who is the owner of Hololive Researcher YT channel. And we have no idea why Tokyo targets our server to be a field for the whole Poka-hunting stuff.

Another way of looking at it which might be over optimisitic but honestly I would say is plausible is that Ame recognized it as something the fans were pushing more than Uto herself and distanced from it "for her (Uto's) own good" since it might have been beneficial in the short term for Uto to have that association with Ame, in the long run it's better that she develop on her own with her own identity instead of just being "Ame's sister" since Ame is pretty savvy with shit like this.

Like other folks noted after a time even Uto herself seemed unhappy with the constant "Ame and Gura's daughter" jokes and things like that, I'm sure Ame recognized the issues that could be caused by it and since she doesn't have the "JP autism" rendering her unable to put her foot down, She just ripped the bandaid off and let Uto grow on her own, which she seems to have managed quite well since then getting out of that shadow of being seen by so many as just Amelia's sister.

Uto also had a shitload of antis back then - as well as the metadata/leeching stuff, there was also a theory that she was being backed by a Chinese company (I never saw any real evidence of them being Chinese, but 5ch seemed pretty convinced). I think distancing herself from Hololive was the only way she could move away from that drama, and like you said it turned out to be better for her personal growth regardless.

It seems Hololive (and maybe the vtubing world in general) has finally platoe'd. You can see that in the subscriber numbers. There used to be a big subscriber milestone or two every week, now we haven't beraly get any. The growth of EN2 was also much smaller than anticipated.

Since the exploding popularity of Hololive that lasted for a good year Cover has been really busy organizing and filling up the schedules of the current Holomems, not only the popular ones but pretty much all of them started wanting to do more and more. More concerts, sponsorships, events, play new games, etc. With EN1 came even more challenges.

I would reckon this is the main reason we haven't gotten a Gen 6. Cover's just full of work and they never had enough staff, not even in the early beginnings. EN2 became a priority because it earned so much attention world wide. Cover must be happy about the status quo but other agencies are playing catch up.
There is nothing that makes more noise than a fresh new product. With that said, are we getting a new batch of JP's anytime soon?
