GOODBYE VOLCANO HIGH DEV UPDATE:
We recently submitted a major milestone with GVH and couldn't be happier slash more tired. Our tech team has taken their requisite and much-deserved vacations, I've continued cheering them on from the sidelines, the game is getting more and more polished every day... it’s beautiful. As we talk about all the time, making games takes a long time, and seeing the fruits of your labour takes a long time too. Sometimes you miss the forest for the trees (sometimes you miss the milestone for the bugs? Is this anything?)
This month has seen us spend a lot of time working on our core systems and interactions. The character team’s been producing tons of bespoke art for [REDACTED, SORRY] sections of the game, we’re blazing through storyboards to set the mood and tone of each “episode” (that's how we internally structure the levels of the game, since we're goin' for a cinematic vibe), the tech team has been bringing everything together, optimizing and refining our systems, visuals and interactions, and the writers at Sweet Baby Inc. are continuing their incredible work to bring you all a beautiful, satisfying, and multifaceted narrative experience. I think you're forgetting that we're dealing with people who have gotten pissed off someone calling Fang "waifu" on their discord channel, to the point they went on an entire speech about how this is "objectifying and wrong guys". So, you really expect them to start selling any "weird fucking fetish art"? Pretty sure, there's a higher chance of Jesus coming down riding on a magic pony.

And the people supporting them are low-impulse smoothbrains whose entire social network is predisposed on blowing shockingly large amounts of money on frivolous, usually pornographic, items of dubious quality. By default, I'll consider KO-OP grifters and shysters until conclusively proven otherwise; after all, they're selling merch for their parody of Snoot Game without having a real product to show for it yet.

I mean, from what I got is the devs almost doing a inspection of ones twitter before they allow 'em on. So, one can assume they wont allow people who enjoy porn on their discord (again, going back to the rant they had about the word "waifu"), which only leaves people who are insanely "progressive" like them an hopes of buying whatever merch they'll make.

The whole snoot game shit is incredible, it is really too funny, not that I am going to read the VN, but I cam believe that it could be good, since Katawa Shoujo was good when released.

In that, you're most likely right, but I won't be surprised if they change their tune if enough money gets waived in their faces, or if someone is willing to make a few under-the-table deals at, say, Kanel-level commission prices.
I do think KO-OP will attempt to hold onto their (imaginary) dignity a bit harder than most, since they want GVH to be a big-name Playstation game, but if their actual shit doesn't sell? They'll pimp Fang out in a heartbeat.

This part is actually funny, cause even the devs of Ratcher&Clank knew there was gonna be porn of Rivet, and their game is a much bigger PS game than GVH (which surprise, surprise is also on steam), but they just went "Meh, who fuckin' cares. Go nuts, you buggers." , but somehow KO-OP things they have a moral high ground here.

I've been working (deliberately) on getting Ending 1 but I'm going to wait until October 15th.
Also, I love "Turn the Lights Off", discovered it thanks to that stream Null did on Kevin Gibes. (A fitting end for a fun yet disturbing story about the sad fate of a teenager who ended up trooning out and living in a shack).

i'd imagine that it's not just their "moral high ground", but also the fact that taking action against material that they personally disapprove of online will take a ton of effort and/or money to achieve with little benefit to themselves or even the consumer.
with ratchet and clank they absolutely have the money and manpower to nuke the degenerate masses, but all that'll achieve is negative positivity and the loss of some really dedicated fans. so why not save money/profits and let the creeps have their dank, disgusting corner of the web? most people don't know there's a whole treasure trove of rivet porn out there, why indirectly point the public's eyes towards it?

You know that NTR drama earlier in the thread? Well, that topic just came back up with a fiery passion.
Needless to say, people got upset immediately.
Then it turns out that the lines were joke ones and were accidentally left in the game since Ren'py can be shit at times.
Guess who had a hand in it?
Although he denies writing the lines himself and says that yeah, they were meant to be removed.
Soon after that whole mess, they patched it out.
And what do ya know, a few people (or a couple of them samefagging) were still salty as fuck about it and doomposting about how it ruined the game, how the devs totally couldn't handle the backlash and the NTR stuff was their true vision, and how the game is RUINED FOREVER!!!
