Let's look at these fucking character designs because I've re-watched this fucking trailer for hours now and I still can't get over them.

*Insert cliche that nonbinary character is obviously a female with daddy issues*
Who on earth would look at this design and think that it was a great model for the lead? The long-ass head makes it instantly feel alien to the audience. Your expressions are much more limited with that kind of a head-structure. The angel-wings are weird too.

This one is easily the worst of the lot. It looks like a fucking joke. The nose-horn coupled with those anime eyes make me want to pee. I love how the character (a fucking DINOSAUR) is POC-coded as well from the dreadlocks on her(?) head.

All these background characters look the same. The same long faces with out much distinguishing the different species from each other. Comes across looking very cheap and lazy.

This one isn't as bad as the others, maybe because the nose is smaller. But seeing hair on this thing is really weird. Still can't really tell what type of dinosaur this is supposed to be.

This one isn't too bad, probably the best of the lot. The feathers acting as messy hair is a cute touch. But that tail is screaming fetish material.

This one is fucking weird. I can't tell what that thing on its head is supposed to be. Some king of flap? The colors on this one are ridiculous as well. Why can't furries ever figure out how to properly blend colors on their goddamn models? It clashes hideously.

I don't like Night in the Woods, but at least the character models were cute. I have no idea what they were thinking here.

I like furshit, but oh my god the anatomy is so fucking hilariously bad that it's all I can see here. I get that birds are the closest living thing to dinosaurs, but that doesn't mean reptiles should have mouths looking like hummingbird beaks.
Also kinda odd that it's only scaly characters, there's probably some funny race controversy there to be had amongst furry/twitter circles. If the writer didn't say they'd been working on it for 2 years, I would've said something about a "furry" high school setting being some kinda ripoff of beastars, but it's just bad on it's own.

It's supposed to be a ridged fin, as (supposedly) seen on some flying dinosaurs.

Looking at the website, this character is the brother of the character I mentioned previously.

Despite being completely different species.

I'm surprised that the trailer for the "game" has been featured on the PS5 reveal stream, even though it looks like my old ass Motorola Razr phone can run this.
