Speaking about George Takei being weird: I once talked to a man who told me that his teenage bisexual son had some online friendship with George Takei and that George used to talk to him all the time. The man I talked to even talked to George on the phone, so I'm assuming he used to call the son too. Looking back on that now, that's so creepy.

I think it's just the law of averages. The average American woman is only 5'4", after all.

But also, dysphoria/dysmorphia has its roots in the same thought patterns and mental health issues as eating disorders like anorexia, and a lot of these girls probably had anorexia or other eating disorders prior to fixating on transition as the cure for all their woes. These days, girls as young as eight are concerned with "dieting" and girls as young as twelve develop anorexia in shocking number. Eating disorders can cause stunted growth due to lack of nutrients.

And if the women are particularly young, puberty blockers could also be to blame; they cause stunted growth as well.

He did know, that's what he told me. This was a story I was told years ago, but from what I remember, he allowed his son to talk online with him, to talk to him on the phone, and to meet him. So weird. Guy was naive as hell. Most parents don't even want their teen girls to do that because they know it's bad.

To answer this: most women are short. There are some tall ones, but the tallest girl I ever was friends with was 5'7, and I knew one girl who (unfortunately) was over 6 feet tall.
