This is more believable to me.
The only thing that tweet proves is how utterly inept and out of touch with reality these two whack jobs are. She can afford healthcare, she just needs to call mommy and daddy and that’s hard to do when you’ve been making up stories for everyone about how evil they are and how they hoard their (earned) money for themselves. So instead of having to backpedal, she’s made up even more lies about how the mental healthcare system has done “irreparable” damage.
That’s just my theory, anyway. What an insult to people who are actually in need.

I think the reason why that tweet was so viscerally disgusting for me was that I read it not as Paul addressing the general twitter audience but Alyssa personally. This man found a very clearly mentally unwell woman and has manipulated things around both of them to isolate her completely from the rest of the world (leaving Sky and the Tranch, encouraging Alyssa to leave her job which was clearly her only real support network). Now he's making claims that he's her saviour. Until I saw this I agreed with the general consensus ie Alyssa was the one driving this whole relationship with her BPD/NPD and would eventually blow up the ranch with no survivors (figuratively). Now I think I have gone back to the regulars' original thesis which was that Paul was the only "sane" one. I'm back to thinking he's sane, but that he's a complete and utter sociopath.
