Pochi's such a sweetie.
It still amazes me that, even though she's primarily known as a hentai artist, her chat is pretty well-behaved and respectful - I never really see any horndog comments outside of relevant contexts.
Also she speaks English extremely well, and often.

So she was a PNGtuber for well over a year, and then got a 3D model (probably one of those build-your-own), and now "re-debut" with a Live2D. If nothing else, gotta respect the hustle, starting so early before VTubing really exploded, and sticking with it the whole time.
Super cute design of course, and rigging is pretty great too IMO.

Everything about this Uto server situation has been pure speculation and hearsay, and I don't watch her or care about this, but I know one thing for sure: these mods sound fucking insufferable.

Their extreme vagueposting really does make it sound like they found out she's getting dicked and their grooming attempts have been thwarted, but they can't come out and say it because they know they're in the wrong.

If you're interested in trying it out for fun then sure. If you have no experience in content creation and are looking at it from a money perspective, I suggest buying a lottery ticket. You will get much the same experience with much less time and effort.

You won't make money with it, the sheer probability is that you'll be one of the hundred thousand 2views vtubers. To become popular you need to either be part of a company or have connections with bigger vtubers + artists + designers.

Oh, and be female.

I do, sometime soon. I guess it all boils down to determination and reason as to why you want to be one though. If you have a nice backing or connections, it can be a profit and benefit you to more connections; but if you're a startup indie, you better pray for luck that you'll get noticed in one way or another.

Just be sure to watch the Pippa instructional video for tips on applying to a company. You don't want to make the rookie mistake of wearing panties on your head during your application video.

If she studied programming, her knowledge that it exists wouldn't be surprising. COBOL, alongside Fortran and ALGOL, is one of the three grand-daddies of third-generation/high-level programming languages and as such is highly relevant to the history. Doubly so because of its business orientation and focus on natural language use.

If she was truly proficient with COBOL, she could have a 6-figure salary keeping ancient mission-critical company mainframes chugging along (the core of IRS mainframes date back to the 60's/70's, for example). She might be passingly familiar, but since the old programmers of that crap have mostly retired, there is a very demanding market for old-school programmers.

But no, she's a VTuber instead. So she definitely ain't in it for the money.
