Some issue he explained about the ports in california that arent being talked about.
Shipping containers are 40 feet long but semi trailers are 50 feet long. that extra 10 feet cubed gives you alot more volume.
There are transloading facilities where the shipping containter contents are unpacked and repacked onto semi trailers.
These transloaing facilities are not near the doc but out in cheap places past the cities of LA.
The ports used low paid owner operators to moves the containers to these facilities an the pollution was causes issues for people that lived near these highways.
The idea was to create a feet of newer trucks to haul to the transloading ware houses, but covid hit and those plans didnt happen
His insights to address the issue were as follows.
1) have the transloading facilities run 24/7 thats a big bottle neck plus it d allow the transport to happen at night.
2) allow doubles basically have one truck pull 2 shipping containers that way you get 2 for the price of one truck/trip

My question is could the private employers allow their employees to disobey the mandate, if the employees sign a contract agreeing to pay any OSHA fines they get from not being vaccinated? This would pit the employees directly against the government instead of having the employer middle-man. Which I think would be politically advantageous to the employees if the government started to fine normal working citizens these ridiculous fines and start locking them up.
My question is if that's possible, and worth proposing to my employer.

The press just posted the official gas price increase around my neck of the woods. Not as high as what other people have been posting on here but gas is between $3.20 and $3.50. It's safe to say the 5 burrows are higher in price because they always are.
Also crude oil is now more than $82 a barrel, which is a record. Last time it was high it was in October of 2014
