That’s actually a great point. I remember in the earlier seasons Sander being an asshole when his brother found friends, a girlfriend, and stopped hanging out with him. Sanders is probably protecting Jaron from the other monstrosities his mother could possibly do next, because obviously Father Jennings is a pushover, as we saw in the “bye to penis party” (the teen boys and dad nervously watching Jazz celebrate his mutilation).
I bet the young boys never had anyone to talk to because it’s all about the trans cult in the house (I remember to share blame with cousin Debbie)
I wonder if Jazz ever confided in sanders or the other siblings?
I wouldn’t be surprised if some type of Mendez Brothers incident happens in that home. From what we’ve seen on TV I wouldn’t be surprised what goes in behind closed doors. probably a house of horrors.

I feel bad for the twins, even if Sander is extremely pathetic and irritating. It's a very female-oriented house with a lot of femmy glam shit. That's fine if you have a bunch of daughters or femmy gay kids but it's not an equal distribution of interests in terms of the things typical guys are into.
I suspect that the twins were never really embraced for being boys, especially when you have Jazz WAAAHHHing about how he's totally a mermaid and not an icky brute with a penis. Having to hear that all your life, coupled with being completely ignored and brushed aside, I think that's a recipe for insecure, emotionally-starved men who do obnoxious shit just to feel embraced. For as much as people whine about MUH TOXIC MASCULINITY, they fail to see the ripple patterns of neglect that lead to the behaviors they shit on.
Boys need a strong male figure that encourages their talents, and a strong mother figure to foster their emotional needs. Mom and dad can even happily alternate for a sense of variety in the lessons they teach. You can be subversive in your methods but those requirements need to be met to raise a healthy, confident son.
I don't think the twins mean shit to anyone.

The surgery he's talking about is this dumb vocal cord one that doesn't really work. Afterwards they aren't allowed to talk bc the all the voice stuff in their throat is healing. Do we know where Noelle is doing this btw? If it's in South Korea it might be the same surgeon as Luke Lockhart went to.

That vocal cord surgery sounds as gruesome and risky as any other tranny specialty if they botch it. And even if it's a "success," it's obviously not worth pursuing due to the entire expensive process of surgery and healing and lackluster results. They just can't leave well enough alone ffs.

I doubt he's gay. It's more likely he's very confused by the childhood he had. People who have been abused often show very messed up views about sex in adulthood. While he hasn't been abused himself, he's been around someone who has been and he's grown up in an environment where there was no sexual boundaries. When you are ten years old and the family openly talks about your little brother's genitals at breakfast, you will grow up in the way Sander did.

My first memory of Sander is him breaking down in tears in one of the earliest episodes because he injured a knee and couldn't play in the big game, and his parents DIDN'T CARE because life was all about Jazz. The poor boy is starved for attention.
Somehow Griffen (and Ari) managed to emerge normal in spite of it all. That's the real mystery!
