Diseased Neo-Pagans / Witches on the Internet / Witchblr - SMT IRL, but with fatties

If I understand it, he believes that Earth is hurling through space with such speed it causes the illusion of gravity. Same as flat earthers. Varg is an odd guy, he doesn't believe in Gods, he said that believing in supernatural is "jewish" and our ancestors were atheists as well, and that druids, seers, shamans, witches etc were really scientists. Before christianity everyone tipped their fedora, and christian priests imposed the belief in Gods and afterlife on the white people. That's right, Vikings didn't believe in Valhalla, it was another allegory for placenta. But on the other hand he does believes in reincarnation.

Pagan traditionalist is really a post-modernist fedora tipper. Many such cases

I do legit think that trolls are ancestral memory of non-human humans, but that's about it, here.

So he believes in magical stem cells and a free-flying earth but also thinks supernatural things are jewish. He also believes in reincarnation. Yet the supernatural is DA JOOOOOZ.

Varg is literally the pulsing nucleus of all stereotypes about germanic pagans and I wish he'd fuck off.

I will at least say that I don't think he's wholly off on druidic or spiritual leaders sometimes doing early form of scientific research but given the lack of easy means of recording anything found or hypothesized its likely it all fell to the wayside. Stopped clock and all that.

Though he does touch on an interesting point, why is there such a strong correlation between Germanic cultures and admiration of nature/environmentalism? It's not just in current year either. The Nazis had strict environmental laws, and in the 19th century the intelligentsia of these cultures spent much of their time walking in the woods, or complaining about "Dark, satanic mills".
It's mostly the product of Romanticism, which grew to prominence in the early half of the 19th century. It was a school of thought that emphasized the value of emotion, myths and tradition and was a response to the cold rationalism of the Enlightenment, which had led to the French Revolution and all the continent-wide turmoil it had brought with.

It was a very influential mindset in an age where the only other options were either unhinged radicalism or subservience to repressive absolute monarchy, both of which had lost alot of their mojo in the wake of 1789. It would only grow more popular as urbanisation, industrialisation and nationalism increased. So you start having a lot of people who don't want French-style "burn it all down" republicanism, but they do want government for the people and don't like the contemporary monarchies all that much. These guys start digging through cultural material that isn't Christian or Graeco-Roman in origin, looking for elements which are unique to their nation. The result is a massive surge in interest in medieval history, pre-Christian mythology, traditional folk culture... and nature. The reasoning being along the lines of, "the ancients worshipped nature, and it's clear that the further back you go to the natural state of man, the more pure and good his feelings and character was, and that one's environment shapes him; therefore, keeping in touch with nature in its unspoiled form will help us keep our soul similarly unspoiled, both the individual and collective one."

It should be stressed that while Romanticism started out in Germany, it wasn't exclusively Germanic. Slavic interest in it was just as strong. It wasn't as popular in Southern Europe, but that's likely due to the fact that the region had a very different trajectory. Northern European history since the fall of the Roman Empire could be summed up as steady, increasingly exponential growth into predominance, and therefore causing a longing for a simpler, more natural time. The same can't be said for places like Italy, or Greece, or even Spain. Those regions had ups and downs but the past few centuries had generally been of stagnation and decline. It doesn't make much sense to venerate nature or pastoral life when industrialisation is barely a thing and rurality is still omnipresent, or when your perception of your ancient ancestors isn't one of tribal warriors and druids, but rather that of the progenitors of civilization itself, whose ruins still surround you. You also didn't have the same existential "rationality vs. feeling" philosophical debate raging, old school Christian morality still dominated intellectual thought in the South so that question was never something that really came up.

I'm going to defend Vikernes by saying that it's no coincidence for him to be acting like a palette swap of twitter afronationalists or troon revisionists, obviously he's on a twitter shit-take high, and this is what abusing the website will do to you. The evil spirit of the website is channeled in the image of its user's idiosyncrasies, a single demon with the appearance of a tradcath, a hotep, a satanist, a communist, or Donald J Trump, but it is all just the single being named twitter.

It's like all those celtic shaman scientists and shit decided to reject writing because it didn't fit with their science.

Varg has always been like this; Twitter has nothing to do with it. He's always been a sperg and has written fuck-tons of stupid shit, online and offline. He's been (slightly) less crazy after his prison stint. For example, he hasn't plotted to blow anything up AFAIK. If Twitter keeps him posting stupid things instead of killing people or destroying buildings then it's better than the alternative.

IMO he has counterintuivitely become more crazy but also more harmless. Before/during prison he was pretty typical neo-nazi, with some paganism thrown in. Being a pagan-nazi is as old idea as the whole nazism itself. Not groundbreaking edgelording, barely registers. Of course, being a neo-nazi came with some baggage, namely wanting to kill people. Part of the rationale for killing Euronymous was that he was a racial subhuman: "he was half Lappish, a Sami, so that was a bonus" "His Lappish (Mongolian) facial features are very visible".

What he is now doesn't even have a word. "Placenta cultist" has been used often and it really triggers him. White "we wuzzer" of the highest calibre (aryan egypt). Hater of buildings. Primitivist, definitely. Wannabe cult-leader.

Nowadays he just preaches his placenta cult on twitter instead of killing people which is a positive development. He's still racist for sure but now his racism is mostly directed at South Europeans. Even Nazis considered meds aryans, so this is him cooking up his own theories again.

"Also he was a stinky farty-pants and no one liked him."
Enjoy some fan content, by the way.

Well... one of the problems with nazism is that, ideologically speaking, it’s a rabbit hole. Contemporary Nazis were cooking up their own theories about race and mysticism and the definition of pagan and Aryan could change depending on the person you were talking to. Modern people who base their “ideology” on material produced during the Third Reich will inevitably create a “weird casserole” of concepts.

Actually, the highest authority on the subject, Hitler himself was a raging Romanboo and considered Italians "Nordic-Mediterranean aryans".

"If the Duce were to die, it would be a great misfortune for Italy. As I walked with him in the gardens of the Villa Borghese, I could easily compare his profile with that of the Roman busts, and I realised he was one of the Caesars. There's no doubt at all that Mussolini is the heir of the great men of that period. Despite their weaknesses, the Italians have so many qualities that make us like them. Italy is the country where intelligence created the notion of the State. The Roman Empire is a great political creation, the greatest of all. The Italian people's musical sense, its liking for harmonious proportions, the beauty of its race! The Renaissance was the dawn of a new era, in which Aryan man found himself anew. There's also our own past on Italian soil. A man who is indifferent to history is a man without hearing, without sight. Such a man can live, of course—but what a life? The magic of Florence and Rome, of Ravenna, Siena, Perugia! Tuscany and Umbria, how lovely they are! The smallest palazzo in Florence or Rome is worth more than all Windsor Castle. If the English destroy anything in Florence or Rome, it will be a crime. In Moscow, it wouldn't do any great harm; nor in Berlin, unfortunately. I've seen Rome and Paris, and I must say that Paris, with the exception of the Arc de Triomphe, has nothing on the scale of the Coliseum, or the Castle of San Angelo, or St. Peter's....The religious ideas of the Romans are common to all Aryan peoples. The Jew, on the other hand, worshipped and continues to worship, then and now, nothing but the golden calf. The Jewish religion is devoid of all metaphysics and has no foundation but the most repulsive materialism."
- Adolf Hitler

Meanwhile, not exaggerating for a humorous effect here, Varg considers everyone south of Germany a nigger. He honestly doesn't think they're white if they have brown eyes.

I am used to seeing the "we wuz roman kangs and shit" version but i've never seen anyone doing it the other way around. Varg is just one of those patological contrarians with an ego so big he always have to come up with an obtuse shit take, he can't help it, like he has to one up every other contrarian by being even a bigger contrarian.

She's a great example of how watered down even controversial practices in Neopaganism are, compared to the historical rites they're trying to glom onto. The idea of just going to the store and buying cheap leftover blood from a non ceremonially-slaughtered animal, and then keeping it around on a shelf for whenever you need it completely lacks anything of classical theologies.

The exact details vary from culture to culture, but a few things are pretty much universal -- the animal is specifically selected for a given ritual, it should be a high quality example of its species, and it's killed as a part of the ceremony. The concept of the blood as life-power is very closely tied with proximity to the moment of death usually, sometimes so much so that the fact that the blood is being pumped out of the dying animal's body by the final beats of its heart is symbolically significant (example -- the offering of quail in some sacrifices by the Aztecs. The birds are killed by tearing off their heads, and the arterial spray produces a vigorous spurt of blood like a shower of rain. You can see how that would be symbolically important in a culture living in a very arid climate with seasonally-restricted rainfall.)

I seriously doubt any spiritual practitioner from ancient times would think store-bought blood from a generic food-animal slaughter would have any divine significance, let alone if it had been frozen for "just whenever you need it later". I'd expect the idea of offering it to a god as a sacrifice would be an insult -- can you imagine someone telling an ancient Greek to offer frozen leftovers to Zeus, when that deity was accustomed to receiving the hekatomb sacrifice of a hundred juicy just-killed and roasted cattle? Hell no, he'd tell this chick "Do you *want* to get raped and your house burned down by a lightning strike? Because that's how that happens!"

Same deal for offering human blood, I can think of precisely zero historical examples of more than a brief delay between collection and use not being something that spoiled the spiritual value or mystical efficacy of it. Not even the old necromancers' spellbooks like the Munich Manual relax the requirement of timeliness.

<snip>

Random Fuhrer Funfact -- Hitler sperging on about the scale of ancient Roman construction in that quote you shared is because he had a raging boner for oversized, "epic scale" architecture. His fetish for the stuff was to the point where he'd pissed off and alienated Troost and most of the other AAA-list architects of 1930's Germany. Only Albert Speer humored him. If you haven't read "Inside The Third Reich" by Speer, I recommend it. Interesting look at the times from an insider, and has lots of funny period gossip to boot.

This is Tess Holliday. Tess is the kind of person who would absolutely use astrology as an excuse to be a shitty person. With that in mind, can any astrology spergs translate what she's trying to tell us here?
