I'll be honest, if the show is trying to make a point I have no idea what that is yet. But I haven't seen any of the marketing.
At worst it's maybe designed vague enough that you can project what you want on it. Which is kinda lame but could be a good or a bad thing depending whether it eventually sacks up. I have low expectations.
Admittedly, I was basing that statement more on the marketing without seeing the final product.
I've read an article that was talking a lot about how the male character is whiny, and how "privilege" shapes the plot structure and so on.
IWC (PBUH) mentioned that the show is making woman look terrible and incompetent, but with feminist productions, you just never know what they think it is they are doing and how you are supposed to feel about it.
Just think of Holdo from Star Wars: The Last Jedi, who is an unlikeable stupid fucking twat, incompetent to the highest degree and her terrible actions result in a more than justified mutiny by on of the main characters, yet the audience is supposed to side with her and condemn Poe for his actions.
Y could (up to this point) be about how everyone would freak out in such a situation and just check out these poor womyn UWU and how they struggle with the "Well, actually, it's good that men are finally gone - now we can rebuild the world in our divine, life-giving image. I am WOMAN hear me ROAR!".
Maybe the feminazi marketing lied about how the show is being handled and there is no feminazi agenda in it after all... thing is: I'll never know firsthand and I don't care. Any product marketed on this feminazi and SJW bullshit is something I simply won't waste time on. I won't be lectured by Hollywood pedophiles about morals. I won't be lectured by Hollywood trust fund kids about privilege. Market your product on that foundation and watch me just shrug and move on without it.
