This sounds completely gay and I've never watched it, but the premise isn't bad, you could do it a couple of ways:
* Sexy comedy version where some loser guy (Jason Alexander's character from Seinfeld) is suddenly the most wanted man on Earth, having to fend off supermodels, horny female politicians and CEOs, FEMA trying to kidnap him and force him to be a sperm donor, and radical feminist/eco terrorists trying to assassinate him.
* Serious drama apocalyptic version where there's suddenly 4 billion dead and the survivors are trying to stop society collapsing while racing against time for some kind of cure or workaround before the human race ages into extinction or sees its food chain collapse
It sounds like they chose option C instead - trash TV nobody was interested in watching.
Human cloning isn't a satisfying solution, because it sounds like a dumb deus ex machina ending and they probably didn't think through any of the interesting problems and side effects. Like, that shit is extremely difficult and resource intensive so who gets to decide who gets cloned?
The animal world would also be completely fucked due to no longer being able to fuck (good luck cloning hundreds of billions of mammals and fish in time to stop the biggest die off since the Permian extinction).
Dr. Mann's father killed all the men through morphogenetic fields because once you start cloning humans males aren't required
This seems like a strange and genocidal assumption, and I wonder if they ever explored that. Males aren't required for what and by whom, exactly? It sounds kinda like the creepy incel meme about their sex robots "replacing" women.
