It's due to being starved for international validation. When western/eastern personalities/trends/media is at the forefront of everything (even in the local landscape), the rare occurrence of a local talent/person getting in on something popular usually causes a stir.

SEA has plenty of interesting sights, they have those massive jungles, equally big cities and ancient temples. In honesty, it is quite lame that there aren't many works set around those parts!

But indeed, they do need to mature, every single time a new talent from there arises there is always a massive flow of retards! Fuck me sideways lol!

I think he should go one step further and use the same feedback responses we use here on comments, maybe even change them out each stream. For example, 'Islamic Content Tag' week would be hilarious.

Isn't VRoid Studio pretty shit? More often than not you can tell when something's been made with that from a mile away.

Depends on someone's level of proficiency with it. I've seen some pretty decent 3D models that used VRoid as a base, I think it's more a situation the game engine Unity is in where there's such a huge pile of shit made with it that its name became synonymous with it. It doesn't help that there are some things that VRoid models can't do without using more complicated external software, and many things it can do being somewhat hidden (for example, you can do all sorts of shit by modifying values beyond what the sliders allow.)

It's a pretty impressive piece of kit for what it can do though, I can't think of another piece of software that can enable an absolute beginner to learn to create their own model (albeit a shitty one) within a matter of hours like VRoid. It'll never be a substitute for actual 3D modelling software, but it's not supposed to be.

From what I've been testing in terms of actually getting a 3D model running once you have your model, Vmagicmirror felt pretty alright; it does have some bullshit 2500 yen full version thing going, but the only thing I found locked behind it so far was hand tracking, which you may or may not find useful in the first place.

VSeeFace works pretty well for 3D shit, and is free. The tracking library for it is also open source. The people that make it are really helpful, as well. It also has hand tracking if you have the stupidly expensive and janky Leap Motion thing to do it.

Just a note to anyone passing through, the site isn't great. They don't do any investigative work, they just collect and catalouge, not perfect but it makes it a little easier. The one nice thing is you can see the past lives and their old twitter and instagram links so you can do your own searching. And yeah agree to both of you, it was the easiest image to answer the previous question and why I added my own tidbit about the whole leach thing. She's about to hit a million in a few more months so that's exciting. That doesn't happen off leaching, just pure good ol' hard work and talent.

My argument against posting highlight clips is that they're only really helpful when you already have a sizeable audience who can't sit down and watch your streams from start to finish - which people like xqc and asmongold typically do considering they stream almost 24 hours. Otherwise, it's just another video that will get lost in the algorithm.

Also consider that most VTubers only stream for 2-3 hours at best, so at most any highlight reel you will get would be about 5-10 minutes long each stream compared to almost a days worth of content most editors would sift through xqc's.

There's still some possibility here and there for some highlights clips to be made. For example, highlights compiling several streams or longer streams, like highlights if GTA streams for example. And highlight clips could also work to fill the algorithm in case, for example, the talent couldn't stream for a while (Marine, Ayame, Haachama)

Honestly as much as I hate the honey spamming is it more or less annoying than peko, nye or nanora? Maybe if we listen to it enough our ears will filter it out...

The difference between Honey and those verbal tics is that Honey actually have meaning to it, whereas the others are pure gibberish that only serves as a character trait (except Miko's due to her short tongue)

I really wonder if this is a good idea in the long run. I mean, I get the point of it. She would need to have something unique among the new VTubers, especially in Niji. But that would cultivate coomers in her chats, and we know coomers led to more harm than good in the long run

I feel she handled it pretty shrewdly in the end. Putting out a stream so quickly after the debut and calling those who criticised her overuse as "haters" before the info about monkeyism spread made sure to basically neutralise any criticism in the future. Justifying doubling down with the twitteresque "owning the haters because I don't actually care for them and it's fun" type of reasoning is just a cherry on top. Notice that it's a bit too strong to brand people complaining about her act as "haters" and the monkeyism connection was still in containment or unknown at that point in time. Really makes you think.
Still, the numbers and overall reception among normalfriends show that people are genuinely accepting the character she's playing. It'll be interesting to see if they crumble out or not, or what the demographics of her channel will be.

Yeah, there's definitely the case of language barrier making people not aware of things that happened on the other part of the world. Like for example, most EOP didn't know there's a drama involving Reine and a certain clip that was happening in the Indonesian weebs scene. Or other Indonesian shenanigans because no one bothers to document it. There's also the case of Pekora having a big name antis on twitter (though someone made a clip of this because she talk about it on stream)
And with Nijisanji, this is even more of a problem since even less people bothered to translate/document it. And people who do translate Niji stuff tend to be a gachikoi and rarely touch something that brought bad light to their talents

So Millie is actually streaming the end of the Cases thinking it isn't done yet, and censoring the chapter epilogues but still reading it line-for-line. Miko censored the ending of the cases but still read through them, making the whole thing completely redundant.

Hilariously, the 'Who dunnit?' structure of Ace Attorney means the heavy spoilers are all at the BEGINNING of the chapters and not at the end. Streaming Mia's death at the hands of Redd White? One of the points made in this video rings true: it's perfectly natural for some people to lose interest even if the quality itself hasn't dipped and the streamer isn't doing anything wrong.
I think Ame especially knows that and it's why she pushes herself much harder than her fans believe she needs to. She wants to stay fresh, engaging, and creative.

Kiara should only worry if her trajectory shows that she's consistently losing more viewers than she gains, and I don't think that's been the case for anyone in Hololive yet. Admittedly, it's hard to tell because some people will move on but still stay subscribed.

I feel like she's trying too hard to hop onto the "hi honey" train - it's pretty grating to listen to, especially when that meme already outstayed its welcome. Peko/etc seem much more organic to me (although maybe you have a point there)

Yeah, I gave Nina the benefit of the doubt in her debut, but the day after, she posted some "6 minutes of Hi Honey" video.
I maintain that every single person who jumped on that meme (including every Superchatter who asked a VTuber to say it) misunderstood why the original Suisei clip was popular in the first place.
And it's even worse that Nina debuted trying to make that her shtick, months after that meme actually died... it just feels so out of touch.

Pretty sure there are a few languages out there that seem to be missing a vtuber. Not many French, Italian, and Spanish vtubers from what I have seen. Seems like a good way to find a niche audience.
