US Joe Biden News Megathread - The Other Biden Derangement Syndrome Thread (with a side order of Fauci Derangement Syndrome)

Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

He was a no-name senator, a vice-president of absolutely no repute, kept outside of anything actually important so much so he was caught flat-footed to find out Bill-Fucking-Clinton was fucking around. The dude was a mushroom, kept in the dark and fed on bullshit his entire career. He was an easy pawn to sacrifice because he brought absolutely nothing to the table, while also being an idealist who might be difficult to control on certain topics.
He only got his position because his father had the same position.

(tweet) Looks like the progressives will be fucked over in favor of Manchin and Sinema. Still won't pass though.

The point of contention is what amount of it is really her fault. You use the example of the cost of the bill... but really, what else -can- she say? It won't cost zero, but word from her superiors says it will. She cannot contradict that, but neither can she explain it because it's nonsense. Left with no other option to explain even to the most basic of questioning, she is really only left with one choice.

Obfuscate and distract.

This has been her option the entire time, and really her only one.

And the best way to do both is to... well, "[come] across as a big wanker like everyone else in DC right now", or more specifically the last option of a Press Secretary if no other ways to spin, elucidate, or control the narrative appear... is to be the biggest bitch/bastard in the room and focus fire on themselves.
I see what your saying and her situation is a bad one and she probably is doing the best she can but she isn't doing the highlighted part. The administration still gets a shit ton of flak despite her being a bitch and unfortunately her bitchiness comes across as stupidity.

I can't say she's done a good job and by your criteria she needed to go extra hard by at least half an order magnitude to end up being the story herself which she really hasn't. Everytime she's in the news it's highlighted how dumb the administration is not because of her specifically.
If the doomers who regularly remind us to dooooooom in the thread are right why are they so scared and already coping?
That's not them coping. That's them letting everyone know they will be cheating. Again.

Create a new fund to specifically develop trans and non-binary talent
○ This fund should support both above-the-line (ATL) and below-the-line

Increase investment in trans and non-binary content on Netflix comparable to
our total investment in transphobic content, including marketing and

Ninja'd. She needs to be an even bigger wanker to take the heat off the administration. I think we can all agree though that she's the red headed cherry on top of the dumpster fire sundae that is Biden's admin, so whether she's good at it or not ends up being moot. They all suck.

More or less this, honestly:

He was a no-name senator, a vice-president of absolutely no repute, kept outside of anything actually important so much so he was caught flat-footed to find out Bill-Fucking-Clinton was fucking around. The dude was a mushroom, kept in the dark and fed on bullshit his entire career. Considering he was going to be a third Clinton term I highly doubt he was an insignificant nonplayer, not in 2000. W winning was the first disruption to the limeline and Trump was the second, and that's why they're moving heaven and earth to ensure there's not a third disruption.

Something important is supposed to happen by 2030 and they're behind schedule and making up for lost time.

White House details plans to vaccinate 28 million children age 5-11
View attachment 2642443
Children age 5 to 11 will soon be able to get a COVID-19 shot at their pediatrician's office, local pharmacy and potentially even their school, the White House said Wednesday as it detailed plans for the expected authorization of the Pfizer shot for younger children in a matter of weeks.

Federal regulators will meet over the next two weeks to weigh the benefits of giving shots to kids, after lengthy studies meant to ensure the safety of the vaccines.

Within hours of formal approval, expected after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention advisory meeting scheduled for Nov. 2-3, doses will begin shipping to providers across the country, along with smaller needles necessary for injecting young kids, and within days will be ready to go into the arms of kids on a wide scale.

The Biden administration notes the nationwide campaign to extend the protection of vaccination to the school-going cohort will not look like the start of the country's vaccine rollout 10 months ago, when scarcity of doses and capacity issues meant a painstaking wait for many Americans. The country now has ample supplies of the Pfizer shot to vaccinate the roughly 28 million kids who will soon be eligible, White House officials said, and have been working for months to ensure widespread availability of shots once approved.

More than 25,000 pediatricians and primary care providers have already signed on to administer COVID-19 vaccine shots to kids, the White House said, in addition to the tens of thousands of retail pharmacies that are already administering shots to adults. Hundreds of school- and community-based clinics will also be funded and supported by the Federal Emergency Management Agency to help speed putting shots into arms.

The White House is also preparing to mobilize a stepped-up campaign to educate parents and kids about the safety of the shots and the ease of getting them. As has been the case for adult vaccinations, the administration believes trusted messengers - educators, doctors, and community leaders - will be vital to encouraging vaccinations.

While children are at lower risk than older people of having serious side effects from COVID-19, those serious consequences do occur – and officials note that vaccination both dramatically reduces those chances and will reduce the spread of the more transmissible delta variant in communities, contributing to the nation's broader recovery from the pandemic.

The administration notes that kids who get their first shot within a couple weeks of the expected approval in early November will be fully vaccinated by Christmas.

The U.S. has purchased 65 million doses of the Pfizer pediatric shot - expected to be one third the dosage for adults and adolescents - according to officials. They will ship in smaller packages of about 100 doses each, so that more providers can deliver them, and they can be stored for up to 10 weeks at standard refrigeration temperatures.

About 219 million Americans aged 12 and up, or 66% of the total population, have received a COVID-19 shot and nearly 190 million are fully vaccinated.

I just don’t understand what the Establishment wants to do here. It almost seems to me like they want to provoke a reaction against them that they can use to their advantage but as they amp things up they just look worse and worse. If they thought mandating vaccination for adults was unopular, if they thought threatening people’s employment was bad, just wait until they start compelling parents to bring their little kids down to get the shot.

I mean, if a person hasn’t gotten it by now, if the “carrot” didn’t work and the “stick” didn’t work, they’re obviously not going to deliver their children unto the Establishment to take the shot, so what good is a bigger stick going to do? Are they just going to beat folks with it until they’re dead? What good does that do?

We are reaching the part where they employ the Not-Child-Trafficker-Squad (CPS) to take them to the vaxx clinic.

NJ election seems like it'll be close. RINO that's running for governor is promising lower taxes and pointing out NJ is the most expensive place to live in the USA tax wise while Murphy is telling people to move out of NJ if they don't like high taxes and saying his goal is to make NJ the California of the east coast.

RCP polls are also interesting

Combine this with Democrat non election year attrition, Ciattarelli going hard on the whole Murphy killed people by sending them to nursing homes, and focusing on taxes, there's a real chance the RINO might win.

Hochul spending money like it's water:

Gov. Hochul: New York committed to providing billions of dollars to school districts in the state

Long Islanders are hopeful they’ll soon be paying less in school taxes thanks to Gov. Kathy Hochul’s announcement that the state is committed to paying billions of dollars in what is being called Foundation Aid to districts across New York.

The legal fight over Foundation Aid goes back to the early 1980s with school districts arguing New York wasn’t paying its fair share and that the burden fell on local taxpayers.

“This has been a long struggle,” says Nassau-Suffolk School Boards Association Executive Director Lorraine Deller.
Deller says the next hurdle to overcome is revamping the formula used to allocate the money.

“The recognition that costs are higher for schools down here is the key thing for the formula itself to recognize,” Deller says. “Without that we will not see an equitable distribution.”

Around $20 billion is expected to be given out to districts over the next three years.

The Brentwood School District says the money is sorely needed and will be used to hire staff and add to student programs.

“It’s just speculation here, but it could be anywhere between $45 million to $50 million per year for the next three years,” says Brentwood Schools Superintendent Richard Loeschner.

It will be up to state legislators to decide on a formula to divvy up the money.

The extra state money is in addition to millions of dollars in federal relief money that is supposed to be coming.

Gov. Hochul announces plans to increase capacity, enhance safety of the LIE

Gov. Kathy Hochul announced Wednesday that construction of several projects has started to enhance safety and ease congestion along the Long Island Expressway.

One of the projects, worth $19.7 million, will add three auxiliary lanes between 48th Street and Little Neck Parkway in Queens, improving traffic flow and allowing motorists additional space to exit and enter the highway. The other additional projects, which estimate over $80 million, are to begin later in the fall and will replace approximately 287 lane miles of pavement on key stretches of the Long Island Expressway in Suffolk County.

"Investment in our state's transportation infrastructure is critical for the continued expansion of a thriving economy," Hochul said in a press release. "These much-needed upgrades will ease congestion and enhance safety along one of the most heavily utilized vehicle corridors in New York State."

A big benefit of the Queens development is exit and entrance ramps will be extended by approximately 370 feet. Some of the other safety enhancements include the addition of traffic impact attenuators (crash cushions) designed to reduce collision damage to structures, and the installation of new guide rails or concrete barriers with reflective markers at each new acceleration, deceleration, and auxiliary lane location.

"The overall safety of our streets and the modernization of our aging transportation infrastructure go hand-in-hand,” said Queens Borough President Donovan Richards Jr. “This critical project will address both, and Queens is grateful for the state's sizable investment in the much-needed revamping of the Long Island Expressway. We look forward to ensuring a safer, smoother ride for those who drive."

Three overhead sign structures at the westbound Long Island Expressway will also be replaced — Exit 22B (College Point Boulevard), Exit 23 (Main Street), and on the eastbound side at Exit 24 (Kissena Boulevard).

"The safety of the traveling public is our top priority at the New York State Department of Transportation and these projects will help facilitate safe travel on this critical artery,” said Marie Therese Dominguez, commissioner of the State Department of Transportation.

“New York State is committed to building back our infrastructure to create a more resilient transportation network that meets the demands of the 21st century and allows our communities to flourish."

Oh look, both of these plans affect primarily NYC and not upstate, what a shock.

I'm telling you, state elections are going to be safe because of NYC, but everything not in NYC is getting awfully purplish-red at the moment.

We are reaching the part where they employ the Not-Child-Trafficker-Squad (CPS) to take them to the vaxx clinic.
Obviously, but that still doesn’t get them anything but a bunch of violence for the TV news. People who have resisted getting the shots so far aren’t about to change their minds now that the Govt wants to force their kids to take them, so what gives? Normally I’d say that the Govt wants to provoke a violent response that they can use as an excuse to justify cracking down but as unpopular as their numbers are, I can’t see how thats a smart play, (and I don’t care what anyone says, there are plenty of folks in their ranks smart enough to realize this). By their own mouthpieces they admit that there’s 35% of the Country who have refused the shots even when offered money and threatened by the loss of their job, plus they admit that the current Admin is sitting at mid-30s approval ratings with no side of movement. Doesn’t seem to me like the kinds of numbers they’d need to have to crack down, even if they did provoke a violent response. So if that’s not it, what is it?

And are you telling me W wasn't Clinton Lite with talk like "compassionate conservatism"? A non-entity who might decide to get ideas of his own is a more dangerous threat to the Uniparty than a known, controllable entity like W. Besides, you don't need a man with charisma or status when you have the bureaucracy to run things for you, and the real puppet-masters are all in agreement. Which they would have been in 2001... until 9/11 threw them into confusion. Thank God W was in charge instead of Gore though since we'd be getting the current total cockup twenty years ago.

If the current level of force isn't working, you have to apply even more force.

The left is absolutely aiming to kick "anti-vaxxers" out of society until they comply. Even then, they will keep a list of names if they can to punish those that resisted. You think they would go easy on Kyrie Irving now even if he did bend the knee to them?

Right, but at some point your numbers drop to the point where the population just won’t support you in the escalation of force.
What I mean is, let’s say they go all-in on compulsory shots for elementary schoolkids, parents refuse, the SS move in and start rounding kids up, the Admin’s numbers sink down to 25% or 15%. At some point you just don’t have the support of the governed to do what you want to do. I’d think they’d back off, regroup, let those numbers come up a bit, and then attack again from a different angle, not just keep doubling and tripling down while giving their dwindling numbers of supporters nothing except admonishing them to “lower their expectations”. Seems like a recipe for failure for them.

Fair point, but then why would a Democrat Party consultant let the cat out of the bag and broadcast their plans well before the election even begins?

Not to sound like a coper, but it feels like he's subtly giving the VA Dems' plans away to the opposition to spite them while looking like he's gloating. Maybe the Loudon County thing has upset him? Who knows?

With Virginia specifically, I'd give that election a 50/50 shot of going either way given how much people are pissed at Biden, Northam, McAuliffe, the Loudon County schoolboard, and the NoVAcrats as a whole.

If it weren't for Fairfax County inevitably resorting to mail-in fraud and the NoVAcrats in general being corrupt and shady as fuck, McAuliffe would probably lose. Especially with the shit going on in Loudoun County (which is right in the heart of NoVA, of all places)

Virginia's shift blue was a lot more rapid and recent than California going blue and there is a lot more blood red regions that are less sparsely populated than the red counties in California and are more "traditionalist" in character.

Eh, whatever the Uniparty's plan was for 2030, I'm sure Dubya was on board with it in the grand scheme of things given how he was very much a corporate uniparty neocon scumfuck and how the Bushes in general are chummy with the Clintons and other bigwigs in the corporate and political spheres.

I think most of the outrage against Dubya was more genuine and on the ground level in its earliest stages because he pandered hard to the fundies to get into office and later on was all about pointless military interventions to enrich his colleagues.

The establishment didn't turn on Bush until after 2005 with Katrina since by then, the mandate he had after 9/11 had worn itself out and he was becoming more of a liability.

I’d think they’d back off, regroup, let those numbers come up a bit, and then attack again from a different angle, not just keep doubling and tripling down while giving their dwindling numbers of supporters nothing except admonishing them to “lower their expectations”. Seems like a recipe for failure for them.
Sure, but when have they shown any signs of stopping? Its obvious that they're going to collide head-on with reality, and in fact already have collided with reality, and yet they have Skinner levels of inability to stop and think about their own actions. "Could it be that we're out of touch with public opinion? No, its the plebians that are wrong!"
