I always viewed it as a 50/50 if Elder was going to win but looking at how dirty the Democrats went against him plus a cucked GOP, Elder had a very uphill fight coming in on short notice.
And by California standards, overperformed by all expectations. Ran the most right wing policy driven campaign in the longest time in California and did very good compared to a cuck like Cox.
I wish to see him return in 2022 since there is no one else here willing to go strong on a Republican platform. Or carpetbag it to the AZ governorship or some other state since Democrats do it all the time.
