Exactly. I actually went to Newspapers.com today and perused some old articles about "Gangsta rap, "Sistah Souljah," and video games (nintendo craze). It's so similar. The difference is the activists were the religious right (Christian). Now they are still puritans, but like of a weird transcendental religion of post modern gobbledygook.

Here are my thoughts on this:
On one hand fuck Netflix for giving these loonatics a platform to begin with, they had two shows where two different teens trooned out. Made an entire documentary about celebrating "trans rights" including that gross tranny behemoth Gigi who was friends with a possible pedophile.
Showing Cuties on it, which is probably on brand for them pandering to the groomer crowd.
And having the shittiest originals out there, which is probably because they let trannys greenlight their shit. Seriously, The Kissing Booth? yuck.

On the other hand, if Netflix gives these people power it will burden all us and just push this nightmare more and more into impressionable people and fuck us up even more. Plus make troons more intimidating towards other companies that haven't taken the tranny-aid yet.
PLUS they'll all get boners and get more comfortable showing their fetish to everyone.

So please, Netflix, don't bite to social media, which is more important than the 10 people protesting.

Piece of advice from a 'mo: Don't stan celebrity 'mos. It never, ever ends well. The "we all must stand together" mentality is strong beyond reason; that's why so many end up the in the position of having to explain why they supported what turned out to be rapists, molesters, etc. I don't know why it is so, your theory is as good as any - in fact, I would argue it is largely straight, middle class and lower women who platformed the 'mos to begin with, so the 'mos feel obligated to support what and whoever else the straight, middle class and lower women platform going forward, which seems to be troons right now...
