Well he has no more family deaths unless Evan croaks or Amanda dies along his unborn daughter in a drunken car crash or something similar. He can't garner any more pity points off of losing both of his parents.

Ralph, the thing that is going to make you never see custody of your son, ever, not even from a Californian court, is:
1. Your current fiancƩ is a raging pedophile.
2. You are a raging alcoholic and pill popper who can not provide a safe and stable environment for your children.
3. You are friends with neo-Nazi White Nationalists and no Californian court is going to side with you based on that.
4. The entire West Coast court system is very female centric and are more inclined to side with the mothers. Even male judges will not go easy on you.
5. When said murderers and rapists see their children it is usually with a social worker in the same room with them and the kids as no court trust such people to be alone with children and the visitations are usually only for a few short hours.
