It'd be a massive blow to the party, absolutely non-recoverable in any meaningful timeframe. It's why I am skeptical of it occurring. Such an event would -destroy- voter enthusiasm for years. It'd be a signal of a total loss of party control and power.

This is starting to look like it's shaping up more and more to be the dying days of the Democratic party. If they have to get by solely by cheating, that really suggests they're incredibly weak and can't win by appealing to actual voters.

There is no main driving force anymore, which is what I think a lot of people are missing. The party split its loyalty across too many forces and factions, now all of them what something a little bit or even a lot different. The end result is that there is nothing that can unify them, no way to just represent the people because they all want different things.

It's a Sun Tzu rule to "never interrupt an enemy when they are making a mistake," and the Democrat party under Biden have been making mistake upon mistake upon mistake in less than a year. So far the damage has not been catastrophic to the republic, but it could be only a matter of time if they're allowed to keep escalating and remain unpunished when they most deserve it. People are grumbling at the disruptions and price increases of basic goods, and if they get to an untenable degree only seen in Commie regimes like the Soviet Union or Cuba, Americans will get pissed.

That's one of the reasons why DeSantis is a better option to run in 2024 to Trump. Give me the pinwheels, but I think DeSantis could legitimately beat Kamala in the popular vote at this rate.
