I hope she got the restraining order transferred to Nevada. I also hope someone explained to Russ that just because his probation expires, doesn't mean he can contact her. Now, if it were you or I we'd realize that if someone went so far to make a complaint to the police and get criminal charges filed against us, they probably don't ever want to talk to us again. But that's us. Russ will be beside himself to get a chance to "explain." Let us hope the LVMPD takes her complaint seriously like the Orem PD did. If not her, he will do it to another poor woman because Russ doesn't ignore boundaries, he's completely unaware of their existence. Oh, the period of the restraining order was simply to let Erika calm down and stop being mental for a while. Once it’s up she should have stopped her hysterics and be in a position to let Russ explain why she needs to dump Chad and give him a chance.

She was also really REALLY clear with her boundaries from the outset. She immediately told him she wasn't interested in dating him and every time he'd try to bulldoze his way past that, she gently but firmly reiterated that they were just friends.

Erika was a definite escalation, but Russ had been inappropriate with women for years by this point. Former classmates from college have turned up in this thread to tell us how he was notorious on campus, to the extent that the administration was warning girls about him. Former coworkers have told us he'd creep on women from other floors/departments until their managers would have to go to his boss and get him to stop. His former boss at Walmart went on Rekieta's show and told us how he'd have to talk to all new female employees to let them know they shouldn't be alone with him. He's been a menace for decades and like all predators, he just keeps escalating.

Erika is not safe. Once the restraining order expires, you can bet he'll try to work his way back into her life somehow. And yet, she's much better off than the next woman who makes the mistake of being single and making eye contact with him. He only harassed Erika and threatened to kill himself in front of her. That's a step up from his previous behavior. The next step is going to be even worse.

Hopefully, he fixates on suing Skordas and leaves women in general alone. The Twitter whores beating the shit out of him probably won't change his mindset, but hopefully it put a bullet in his stupid PAC. That's something, at least.

Probably (and I'm just spitballing) said something about her beliefs/philosophy/pedagogy (because she worked with SPED) says that she should give everyone a chance and benefit of the doubt. Nothing about dates. Nothing about buying a shake. Nothing about A WOO HOO HOO in the sheets. And like the greasy gourd he is, Russ ran with it. Don't know how long she worked with SPEDS and/or juvenile detention, but hopefully she learned by now that with those kids, you sometimes have to get mean in order to get them to adhere to the social code. Sometimes you have to get mean just to keep them from getting arrested that week.

But I bet that the conversation was brief and superficial and Russ read too much into it and wrote a whole ass JRR Tolkein fanfic about what went on.

She told from the very start she just wanted to be friends, and the first fucking thing he does is go on Facebook and post he's in a relationship with a model. When she got with her bf, he acted like she was cheating on him, and she had to reiterate firmly they were friends, nothing more so he had no business being jealous. Naturally, Russ being Russ, he jumped right over her established boundaries and started trashing her chad bf who was actually named Chad. He got involved and told him to knock it off, but it backfired and Russ escalated. Erika told him to leave her alone, and he did not. After she blocked him, he used alts to harass her. He stopped for about a month after she threatened to get the police involved, then bothered her again to see if she changed her mind.

That's when she filed a police report (as I understand the timeline of events). I'm actually shocked Orem PD took it seriously, and I suspect this is where Skordas got involved. He probably gave them enough evidence to show that Russ would escalate further if not stopped. I suspect his lovely screed about why hookers should be legal was linked to show his rather low opinion of women. That's probably where he got the idea that he was only prosecuted because he's pro-decriminalization. I know his Taylor Swift book got mentioned too, so he might as well say he got prosecuted because he's a songwriter. Taken together, they show that A) he hates women, especially women who tell him no and B) he's extremely delusional and seriously expects the world to conform to his wishes simply because he said so.

Not sure, but it does make Russ's move rather suspect. He was talking about moving to Phoenix, and then suddenly switched to Vegas. I would lay money that he's waiting for his probation to be up so he can start harassing Erika again because he doesn't understand she wants nothing to with him, and even if he did, he wouldn't care. She's not allowed to exclude him from her life and he just has to explain this to her and she'll fall into line and date him because that's the role he's decreed for her. Meanwhile in the real world, he's going to bug her once the clock's run out and be very surprised when he gets charged with harassment again.
