Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

It reminds me of the southern rebellions that started to happen towards the end of the civil war.

There's just no way California or whoever can maintain control and unity over its people in a serious conflict, that robs them of bread and circuses

Not just rebellions, but you had loyalists signing up to fight for the Union. And apparently so well that Sherman chose them for his personal escorts on his march to the sea.

Except that's not how professional politicians function. Solving problems means they can't campaign on those problems. Basic sales tactics require either a desire or a crisis to get sold. Solving problems remove crises and thus, create less interest in getting elected. Now, if voters actually held their representatives responsible for not solving problems, I'd agree, but they don't.

This is where you fear monger. Fear-mongering tactics work best when you’ve done a good job. You make it clear that your opponent is going to take the nice things away. Given that the Dems have literally taken away nearly all of the nice things in places, this type of tactic would work for the GOP if they take power in a 2022 landslide.

Solving problems makes things harder, yes, but using the power of celebrity for “getting the job done” along with the above fear-mongering would be a wining strategy, so long as you held the line or delivered on more goods.

Marketing genius or a giant "burn my house down" flag for screeching libfagtransBLM idjiots?

I did however, proudly fly my Trump 2020 flag the whole election season and for sometime thereafter, so I'm prolly already a marked man. If nothing else, you're warned not to mention Biden before you cross my threshold!

I've seen some pretty funny Trump flags around here. One guy has a flag out on his lawn that says "If I die, don't let me vote Democrat!" Got a pretty good chuckle out of me the first time I saw it.
Cheapest gas in my town is $4.40-something. But it's Cali so no surprise I guess
Almost $3.50 here.

Razorfist rants on simps simping for Sinema. Also goes into her past political history.
That rant made my fucking day as a fellow Arizonan! Total truth in what he says; I've posted on this very subject here in the past. About the only place I'll give her credit is where it's actually due -- she's big on Veteran causes here in our state and nationally as well. I suspect this is primarily due to her brother that served and is PTSD. But even that bubble burst this past week. She be catching flak from everywhere right now, but most of it is from the Dems trying knock her happy ass back to toeing the line. See below.

This. The problem is that the left are convinced that the Republicans are pure evil.

Chicago has had a Democratic mayor for NINETY straight years. They've had at least one Democratic Senator since 1985 and have only had two Republican Senators since, which is actually higher than I would have thought, but still they have had two Democratic senators for 24 of the last 36 years, including that Barack Obama guy that got promoted to President. They've had a Democratic governor for 16 of the last 20 years, although they must have REALLY hated Pat Quinn for him to lose to a Republican in 2015.

Yet somehow, all their problems are still because Chicago is held down by evil Republicans.

In case you missed it two months ago, this is what modern day Philly looks like. And EVERY major US city, which are all Democrat strongholds, look like this now.

Jesus. I mean, I know intellectually that these cities are shitholes, but it's always a shock to see it firsthand.

I think even my 3rd rate country capital looks better than this.

My city looks better than that and I live in a third world country, honestly that video and this thread in general makes me appreciate my country and its cities, our biggest problem is that if you live in the interior like I do then you most likely can't afford do live in one of the big cities, mainly the capital of Montevideo.

Honestly, things like gas and meat have gone up in my area, but they've gone back to Obama-era highs. So these are just the same high prices I was paying 5-6 years ago.

Anyone else feel that way?
When I started driving it was Trump Era, and I believe it was like $1.78 a gallon when I got my first car.

$7.59 a gallon in one CA town.

Gas prices are at a 7-year high, with one California town reaching a whopping $7.59 per gallon

  • Gas prices in a small California town hit $7.59 per gallon of regular unleaded this week.
  • That's nearly double the national average, which is at a seven-year high.
  • As ever, a variety of complex factors play into the cost of gasoline.
This week at your average American gas station, you're likely to find prices in the $3.50 range for one gallon of regular unleaded gasoline.

But if you're in rural California along the Big Sur coastline, you could pay more than double that price.
In Gorda, for instance, one gas station is charging a whopping $7.59 per gallon of regular unleaded, and premium is just shy of $8.50 per gallon, local ABC affiliate KFSN reported on Thursday.
Even if you're filling up a car with a relatively small tank, at $7.59 per gallon, you're looking at over $75 for just 10 gallons.
It's not just you: Gasoline prices are at a seven-year high, according to federal data. Though there are some clear reasons for this that are particular to this moment in time, such as the ongoing effects of the global pandemic, gas prices are the result of a variety of complex factors.
The cartel of oil exporters that control the oil market, for instance, has a huge amount of influence over the price of gasoline. That group, which includes OPEC and other oil-producing nations, recently reconfirmed plans to gradually increase oil production despite pressure from the United States and India.
Unfortunately, the upward trend in gasoline prices is expected to continue, according to AAA.
"With oil prices remaining elevated, pump prices will follow suit because the cost of crude oil accounts for more than half of the price of each gallon of gas," a blog post from the American Automobile Association said. Oil demand, the post said, is only expected to increase as winter approaches, and that could put more pressure on supply in the coming months.

Let's go Brandon

A local grocery store in the small "city"(around 14,000 people) next to the town I am in (around 9 miles) has managers at both entrances with tables set up asking people if they need a job. If they say "yes" they are given on the spot job interviews.
I'm in Kansas and I saw something similar. They had signs on carts with arrows pointing to an interview that was "convienent to you." Was pretty funny.
