Lowkey, Shad has always seemed to be a decent photographer. Back when he was losing his mind last year and posting “inspirational quotes” with pictures of supposedly himself that he took, he was pretty talented at doing that.

These photos are kind of “artsy” and edgy with the reflection type thing, but they are at least interesting.

Photography is a decent paying job and much more respectable than drawing that degeneracy. If he kept at it, he could easily hone his photo taking skills and take some interesting photoshoots.

When people cultivate a certain persona online for so long, as well as more or less doing their own marketing as that persona, it is safe to say that they probably adopt major aspects of that character into their day to day life. Especially if they are someone like Shad, who is chronically online and even all of his former IRL friends were people from similar circles. The fact a lot of these types of people come from deviantart and newgrounds is hardly a coincidence. Art social media sites were made during a very chaotic time in internet infancy where it was not normal to have your actual face and real personality up online. Ironically, people back then were more anonymous than now - but also overshared, overposted and revealed their power levels fairly often.

I think this is ultimately why people in his day to day life from sleepycabin and etc, were so attracted to him as a person. As Shad wasn't just playing a character online, he was always acting and putting up a front. He probably was just as he was in person - as he was online, in private with these people. With the more eccentric and intrusive aspects played down, because of course - Shad couldn't be Shadman 24/7 in public without bringing unwarranted and unwanted attention. Since reality's reactions are harder to shape and recontextualize than a community following online.

I think for someone as 'immune' to destructive interpretation as he is, someone who is intentionally a destructive and shock-reaction based artist, he had some level of self awareness. At least once. The "Take it EZ Babe" story is a great illustration (in more ways than one) that he was not entirely beyond shame or embarrassment. The fact he let it happen and didn't try and defend himself or even laugh it off immediately, makes me think that little moment had actually struck his ego a bit and made him almost fade back into his true, probably socially anxious and insecure self. If even for a moment.

Hilariously, thinking back to that incident and remembering that Shad only tipped 1 dollar... its clear why he didn't tip more, as he was possibly already starting a habit. That or is just not nearly as financially well off as we may have thought.
