That baby is not face down.

Am I missing something? That baby is clearly face up right? Her entire body would have to be backwards for her to be face down.

But the real question is actually asked by truemetis

If you can count you'll note there's only 8 out of an advertised 9 babies there.

If Bob's gonna try to pass this off as a joke he should look at Michael for what a joke actually looks like.
Good lord, the beetus is taking bob's sight already.

Michael looks like the kind of dude with lots of dad jokes and observat witticisms. In short, he's probably not only smarter than Bob but also an enjoyable individual to have at your local party.

But Bobby actually does tread into some dangerous territory for his type: making a "joke" about people not having enough resources and said people happen to be POCs. It would be a bit of a stretch, but that would draw some ire from his usual crowd.

I'm not a Yank so correct me if I've got this wrong, but the whole point of the filibuster is to help ensure that no one part of the US government has too much power. The US revolted against a king who had absolute power, and decided they didn't want to create another system with a powerful executive and a weak legislature. The "abolish the filibuster" guys want a system where the president has unlimited power. We can argue about whether it's best to have a strong leader or a parliamentary democracy but one thing's clear; the Founding Fathers didn't want America to essentially elect a king every four years.
The people who deny that there's a plot against black masculinity are also the ones who pozzed black churches beyond recognition and insist that blacks submit to LGBT ideology and worship Lil Nas X.

Don't get me wrong; there's a lot wrong with black American culture - look at Black Rednecks and White Liberals if you want to see what I mean - but that doesn't mean that what these people want for black Americans is better.

The filibuster is just the result of a rule in the Senate about how many votes it takes to shut off debate and proceed to a division. As such, any Senator can speak about anything as long as he wants. Originally it took 2/3rds to end debate, now it's 3/5ths except for appointments/judges where it's only a simple majority. This is just a Senate rule, it's not legislation, it's not in the Constitution or anything, it can be changed at any time by the Senate alone. Thing is, Senators don't want to change it, not even Bernie Sanders or Joe Biden really support changing it.

In this case however, Robert's whining is just him using fancy words he knows. There's currently not a majority in the Senate to pass what the administration and most Democrats want. So even if a filibuster was in place and broken by a cloture vote it wouldn't pass anyway. Now, in the specific case of this recent voting rights legislation there was a 50-50 tie, and in theory VP Harris would have broken that, but Joe Manchin who was behind the bill doesn't support changing the filibuster, so technically in one case recently the filibuster has blocked an agenda item. On the other issues though there's not even a tie for Harris to break, thus the anger at Manchin and Sinema who are preventing it, so the filibuster point is irrelevant. (To be more specific there is an exception to the filibuster for the budget which requires only a simple majority but Manchin and Sinema haven't agreed to any of it so the Democrats only have 48 out of 100 votes.)

The Electoral College has even less (essentially nothing) to do with anything happening that he's currently whining about.

Also, he said this at the end of the video:

I agree we ought to give underdogs some leeway and think before making jokes about them. BUT --
  1. Who are the underdogs? Women, gays, blacks and especially trannies are NOT underdogs. Poor people are -- and immigrants are often underdogs by virtue of being poor and lacking social capital in their adopted countries.
  2. Being underdog DOES NOT render you immune to jokes. Top Dog or Underdog, a dog that shits around deserves to be laugh at.
  3. Comedies are NOT violence. Whenever you "feel uncomfortable", find some way to make yourself comfortable again.

Y'know, we give Chris a lot of shit, and much of it is rightly deserved. But it really says a lot that, at least in this instance, he understands Dune a hell of a lot better than Bob, who supposedly has film criticism as his profession. Bob fires off his usual snark because Villeneuve said a mean thing about Marvel, making wildly hyperbolic claims like "durrhurr this movie is just the first half hour of Fellowship stretched out, nothing interesting happens hurrrrr." Meanwhile, Chris enjoyed it, had his interest stoked, and even brought up criticism of its unfinished nature in a balanced way, pointing out how some people (cough cough Bob) are much more lenient in that regard to properties they personally love.

Chris, you still have a lot of problems, but at least this time, you earn a point. Now go home and be a family man.

There's a LITTLE bit of truth to it, but only in the respect of...well, think of it this way; how funny is comedy if the main subject of it's barbs are the people who are already treated like shit by society in the first place? Can you really think of a work of comedy that did that? I can't, off the top of my head.
Southparks episode on homeless people was the first thing that came to my mind. A lot of jokes were based more on how people reacted to the homeless, but making them act like zombies was a big part of it too. It really does just come down to personal taste. I personally can still sympathise with other peoples struggles while still being able to see the humor in it, assuming its presented right.

The only, ONLY, workplace related request in all of the demands was that Netflix take down "transphobic" posters on the walls of the office.
Has anyone elaborated on what exactly these alleged transphobic posters were? I have a hard time believing it was something like old WWII propaganda posters saying KEEP CALM AND DON'T DILATE for example, so it's probably something harmless and noncommittal "Have a great day" etc, bent all out of all reasonable description to make it transphobic your typical looking-for-a-fight troon. Has anyone even leaked a covert image of one of these alleged hatespeech posters hanging in a public work area?

I actually think Chris is more depressing than Bob. Not because he's more antagonistic of has shittier takes, he doesn't. But what does Bob have? His channel and that's about all that's worth a tinker's fuck. Chris has a family, he has a house that would look pretty decent with some elbow grease, what seems to be a good job, and he even can run his stupid podcast on the side.

I know as someone with a couple siblings, you love 'em even when they're doing stupid shit. But at some point, Chris needs to realize how much trying to emulate Blobert seems to be fucking with his life.

Also, I got recomended a few clips from Anthony Jeselnik's Thoughts and Prayers special last night, and I think his take on the titular phrase is so apt whenever I see people going of on twitter about politics and world events. Especially Bob.

"The day of a tragedy, victims have got victim shit to do. No one is ever… No one is ever putting on a tourniquet, asking, “Hey, are we trending?”

No. This is who I’m making fun of when I make a joke on Twitter the day of a tragedy. The people who see something horrible happen in the world and they run to the Internet. And they run to their social media, Facebook, Twitter, whatever they got. And they all write down the exact same thing: “My thoughts and prayers…” “My thoughts and prayers with the people in Aurora.” “My thoughts and prayers with the families in Boston.” Do you know what that’s worth? Fucking nothing. Fucking less than nothing. Less than nothing. You are not giving any of your time, your money or even your compassion. All you are doing, all you are doing, is saying, “Don’t forget about me today.” “Don’t forget about me.” “Lots of crazy distractions in the news, but don’t forget how sad I am.” Those people are worthless and they deserve to be made fun of. They’re like a wedding photographer who only takes selfies. You understand?"

I agree.

These people are always preaching and talking but their words, like you said, mean nothing. Actions speak louder than words. And their actions show who they really are on the inside.

And the real them, sucks.

I disagree just because Chris has enough anchors that can prevent him from going full Bob. He probably wants to quit and do the patreon full time because he's having more fun with it, but has too many dependents, and is the sole breadwinner, for that to ever be a feasible option barring a lottery win. As you pointed out, without the channel, Bob is nothing, so he has to keep going because he has no other option besides quitting and being just like everyone else.

Though you're right that he needs to take off the blinders and realize of him and Bob, he's the responsible one and Bob's the loser.

I don't know, at least the people who write "thoughts and prayers" are showing some empathy, however performative. When Bob comments on a disaster, it's usually to gloat about it and call the victims subhumans who deserved to die, which makes him a whole lot more despicable.
