Of course, by the logic that people's sexual orientation can be changed, that means clearly gay Christians choose to spite God by remaining their sinful sexuality, rather than working toward becoming straight (again). WTH? Genocide is a word. If the game studio was calling it the "gas-the-jews" run, I'd understand, but genocide can be applied to any situation with mass-murder condoned by authorities. Also, "Kill all run" just flows off the tongue so much easier than genocide run, amirite?

Considering that what you're doing in the game if you follow that path actually is genocide (systematically destroying an entire race of beings with the intent of wiping them out completely), "having a bad time" run sounds like a euphemism trying to cover up the emotional impact that such a run would have. In the context of the game, it's genocide. You are killing all monsters without exception. For a site that has the attitude of trying to show the ugly truth of historical figures like Christopher Columbus, it seems off that they refrain from that terminology in a fictional setting because somebody might make a joke about it.

A lot of lies by omission in that first post. Mark Merlino often plays up his influence in early furry fandom and was apparently known for doing promotion for the fandom in LGBT communities specifically to pull those people in, which some older furries blame for the hyper-sexualization of the fandom in the first place. Allegedly, in the 70's the fandom was basically a bunch of college-aged men who were fans of cartoons (including lots of underground cartoons with sex and violence) and founded animation clubs around their campuses. The introduction of kinksters in the fandom was a point of contention for a long time, ultimately culminating in the Burned Furs movement, which fizzled out pretty quickly but was representative of some backlash against the fandom being defined by fetishists.
I don't doubt homophobia played some part in internet backlash against furries, but I think it was more focused on fetish aspects than anything else; it wasn't who you wanted to fuck, but the fact that you were jacking it to porn of cartoon animals that earned derision.
But considering that furries are practically vanilla at this point since we've been through bronies, I'm not sure why it's even being brought up.

God, I hate those blogs. They're headcannons at best and straight up wish fulfillment at worst.
I don't doubt that trans people existed back then but I imagine that it was a lot harder for them to transition, both from a science and cultural standpoint. The overwhelming majority of them would've never gotten the opportunity. You think Tumblr and their giant boner for trans people would realize this.

so, to start: the dude who is behind it all and the dude who doxxed meowthkip? he's the guy who i mentioned as paul in the personal lolcows thread. we'll get to how i found this out in a second, but first let me focus on how deep this bullshit goes:
the original xzyzzx was reblogged by a blog named sizsik-sizsik, who had a link to a twitter that goes here. from there, there go two links, one to an account named 6688sepulveda (who the xzyzzx twitter credits for leaking the info), another to a wiki on shoutwiki called kiwifarms. there's also another wiki on shoutwiki called leex which i found through the directory and which contains the same information. my guess is that's where paul originally placed it before putting it up on kiwifarms.
now, as for how i found out xzyzzx was paul? well, having put up with him for two years, let me enlighten you on a bit of the information that you can still find on him:
originally, he went by the name of oldman6688, his last name is sepulveda, and his initials are WPB. bearing the oldman6688 username is a youtube account which when you google it is still cached to show his middle and last name -- Paul Baker. on a buried user talk page on kiwifarms, he signs his name as "W.P. Baker, Saint Antony
