No, it was just what Cover hept pushing. It started driving a rift between them because, it was forced. I'm glad EN2 aren't doing that shit. I feel like Gen 2' are actually friends.

Kiara and Callie are friends, full stop. They’re just dialing back on the Takamori stuff because it was pigeonholing both of them in certain aspects to the point it was making things awkward for them. There will still be moments, and there will still be collabs, but their friendship was not faked or anything stupid like that.
Pekora and Miko are still friends and do not hate each other. They’re been together in plenty of group collabs with no issues, they were even on the same three-man team during the Mario Kart collab and got along fine. Cover just isn’t pushing the group as much, same with Takamori. Just because they don’t interact as much during streams doesn’t mean they don’t talk at all or had some sort of falling out.

That is an excellent example. Subaru and Marine don't collab much, and lack chemistry on stream, but when Marine first had to start taking it easy with her voice (prior to the actual breaks), it was IIRC Mio with the soundboard idea, and Subaru with the try-to-keep-quiet-during-various-activities stream, allowing her to still deliver some content.
Of course, those kinds of ideas wouldn't pan out over a month as the novelty would wear off, so it's better for many reasons that Marine is taking an actual break now, but at the time those ideas were just what she needed from her friends, absolute MVPs the both of them.
I think it seems like something they would do, because gachas have huge casts of characters and Hololive has a huge cast of characters.
But as others mentioned, it's different because these are real people behind-the-scenes and you can't really rank them over others. So you'd have to go with every character having a version at every rank and costumes or whatever are the rarity.
They are, supposedly, going for some sort of open-world game. In previous years, I wouldn't have thought open-world would also be gacha. But nowadays I hear anime-style and open-world and think Genshin clone. I hope not, but whatever they put out, I'm at least gonna try it... and drop it if it sucks.

Rrats are fun and all, but too much rrat leading to rratfagging must be exterminated so as to not supersaturate this fun thread. If you wanna rrat too much, just go to /vt/ since theres where most, if not all, of the rrats started.
Opinions aside, less than an hour to the HoloEN collab, and you guys might wanna check out Gura's expo tweet.

Gonna be real with you though, you tend to get more worked up about this than anyone else in the thread today really.
the discussion on this stuff for the last few pages has been super tame and anyone who went mildly overboard was immediately told they were wrong and why. Not everyone who discusses these things is /vt/ tier schizo so what's the point in the disproportionately schizo response any time the topic comes up. like I agree with the facts you're saying but it's like sitting and talking calmly with 10 people and suddenly having someone fly in the room screaming at the top of their lungs angry that people are even talking about it.
I get that especially lately the Kiara/Calli stuff comes up a lot but what do you expect when every week or so, this time Calli, usually Kiara, has another [Serious] Clipped moment throwing fuel on the fire or vagueposting on their roomate account dooming like something's wrong, people are gonna talk about it.
I get why people flip out on idiots like that guy some pages ago freaking out over the NijiEN Fox "coming to ruin his hobbies" but it seems like there's a trend of "If there are schizo rrat's about a person, anyone discussing the person in a not positive way is part of it" when it's really not the case.
I mean like I said, if there's new shit being said relating to it by the girls themselves like Kiara and Calli are fairly regularly. Then folks are going to talk about it, it's really just that simple and not really anything worth getting riled up over. the other half, the pekomiko stuff maybe I need to reread a few pages but it was barely even talked about.
It just seems silly to me that because some spergs went overboard dooming about Calli and Kiara (both seperately and together) that nearly every time there's something to talk about that might not be positive about them it's treated like it's just more sperging. Some people got an unreasonable hateboner for them, but the oversensitivity some folks display to them being discussed is just as much of an overreaction.
hey at the end of the day even if it's shit, enough gachikois will burn their savings on it to bankroll other projects Cover wants to do. So I'd still take that as a win.
