Story at a glance:
  • A bipartisan letter demands answers from the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and President Biden's chief medical adviser.
  • House members, most of whom are Republicans, want Fauci to explain himself in response to allegations brought on by the White Coat Waste Project that involve drugging puppies.
  • Allegedly, 44 beagle puppies were used in a North Africa laboratory, and some of the dogs had their vocal cords removed so scientists could work without incessant barking.
A bipartisan letter demands answers from the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and President Biden's chief medical adviser.
The White Coat Waste Project, the nonprofit organization that first pointed out that U.S. taxpayers were being used to fund the controversial Wuhan Institute of Virology, have now turned its sights on Anthony Fauci on another animal-testing-related matter — infecting dozens of beagles with disease-causing parasites to test an experimental drug on them.

House members, most of whom are Republicans, want Fauci to explain himself in response to allegations brought on by the White Coat Waste Project that involve drugging puppies.
According to the White Coat Waste Project, the Food and Drug Administration does not require drugs to be tested on dogs, so the group is asking why the need for such testing.
White Coat Waste claims that 44 beagle puppies were used in a Tunisia, North Africa, laboratory, and some of the dogs had their vocal cords removed, allegedly so scientists could work without incessant barking.
Leading the effort is Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.), writing a letter to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) saying the cordectomies are “cruel” and a “reprehensible misuse of taxpayer funds.”
"Our investigators show that Fauci’s NIH division shipped part of a $375,800 grant to a lab in Tunisia to drug beagles and lock their heads in mesh cages filled with hungry sand flies so that the insects could eat them alive," White Coat Waste told Changing America. "They also locked beagles alone in cages in the desert overnight for nine consecutive nights to use them as bait to attract infectious sand flies."
Mace’s letter was signed by Reps. Cindy Axne (D-Iowa), Cliff Bentz (R-Ore.), Steve Cohen (D-Tenn.), Rick Crawford (R-Ark.), Brian Fitzpatrick (R-Pa.), Scott Franklin (R-Fla.), Andrew Garbarino (R-N.Y.), Carlos Gimenez (R-Fla.), Jimmy Gomez (D-Calif.), Josh Gottheimer (D-N.J.), Fred Keller (R-Pa.), Ted Lieu (D-Calif.), Lisa McClain (R-Mich.), Nicole Malliotakis (R-N.Y.), Brian Mast (R-Fla.), Scott Perry (R-Pa.), Bill Posey (R-Fla.), Mike Quigley (D-Ill.), Lucille Roybal-Allard (D-Calif.), Maria E. Salazar (R-Fla.), Terri Sewell (D-Ala.), Daniel Webster (R-Fla.) and Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-D.C.)
The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Changing America.

Nothing will come of this. Fauci could snap the necks of dozens of puppies on camera, throw them all into a pile while laughing, and the media would still simp for him.
Probably, but this story with the doggies is old news, so clearly, something is going on if they're using this to go at him, they can't use the fact that he lied under oath and about funding the chink lab as that would make the politicians themselves look bad because of the association of "Trumpism".

Why only now? Everyone knew about this study for several months - we even had a thread on it.

What changed this week that lead to "bipartisan" legislators wanting answers - are they just so squeamish that the fact live animals are regularly used in medicinal studies to test medication shocks them? Why just drawing the line at 'the sweet innocent puppers'?

Surely these PETA-lite activist-politicians are going to care about the other animal species bred for use in scientific studies, or is it just an emotional gesture because 'le cute doggos' are the sacred cow of Western Civilisation? Just ban all medicines that were developed with animal testing, easy way to relieve their collective consciences.

Why not go after fur farms, too? The bipartisan pollies in the US Congress are more than eager to ban animal product imports just because 'it's animal cruelty'.

Oh Noes! Not the heckin pupperinos! That's a yikes from me!!

If I had to guess, either this whole thing is the machine's way to punish fauchi for getting caught personally engineering to coof in wuhan but in a way that takes the heat off the machine's grossly disgusting activities, or, as the fact that the vaccine mandated firings indicate Bai Deng is REALLY polling single to low teens in D+20 polls, at least on the coof, and this is an attempt to satiate the masses with a bit of blood.

Bonus round clown world guess that will inevitably be proven correct: Fauchi's a bug chaser that's either stepped out of the closet to some of higher ups about it or tptb got blindsided with this little fetish with him bragging about how the coof is "his" bug, and this disgusted even THEM (or he just didn't provide any protection for the betters) and this is the machine springing to life to grind him down.

I wonder if Fauci wished that Fluffies were an actual thing, so that he could conduct those said "experiments", without getting criticism, because Fluffies are designated as "biopets", so animal cruelty laws would not apply to them.

Your use of quotes means you already get the rub, "bipartisan, mostly Republican" means there might be like 3 Democrats signed on to this. Same as when Obama wanted a Republican, any Republican, to vote for the ACA so it could be "bipartisan" even if 99% of elected Republicans were opposed.

I remember in the early 80's when this asshole was screaming about "Airborne AIDS" while most scientists said the AIDS was likely caused by an HIV virus transmitted via bodily fluids namely blood and semen. Fauci changed his tune quickly but the damage was done. It took a decade of education to remove the hysteria of being near gays. The modern day retard does not know real Homophobia.

Then in the mid-late 80's Fauci the ghoul with big phama pushed the EXPERIMENTAL AZT, a drug that killed faster than the disease. As most know STD transmitted HIV takes about 10 years to produce fatal opportunistic infections. And by the mid 90's the class of anti virallioi drugs we see today were developed then. More primitive but mostly worked and able to extend life and the patient lived long enough to take newer, safer and life saving anti virals.

Those that died from AZT might be alive today.

So the man the Left put on a pedestal to fight Trumpism is a dangerous and terrible asshole arguably worse than anything you could convict Trump with in court? Nah Trump bad because our terrible health industry got blind sided by a Chinese virus.

But where's Hogan, we need a Leftie who has fun to read takes.

It could be the outrage finally reached the right people, there are still plenty who have never heard of the experiment.

If we want to get in the specifics, the study was looking at the microscopic parasite leishmania and its carrier, sandflies.
The question was are female sandflies more attracted to dogs already infected with the parasite than dogs without.
Some are rightfully upset at how they conducted the study, leaving the dogs outside to be chewed up by sandflies for literally months before finally being put down. The way they counted sandflies was just putting a bit of sticky paper at the top of the cage and I think also bites on the dog.

It would be far more accurate and ethical to cover the cages in adhesive bug nets instead of hoping some of the bugs land on sticky paper at the top of the cage after they chewed up the dogs but the study was conducted by lazy assholes.

The rat-faced Sicilian deserves everything that's (not) coming to him, but I got a chuckle out of this bit
reprehensible misuse of taxpayer funds
Lol at any reptilian member of Congress actually giving a shit about wasting money unless it supports whatever they're currently faking outrage for.
