Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

He was awarded the Order of Lenin by the KGB for doing their dirty work unwittingly.

The evil plot in Goldeneye is to wipe out the London financial system with an EMP. The same plan that Fight Club had a few years later except the good guys are doing it.

How many innocent russian civilians did Bond kill so that the stock market wouldn't be disrupted? No wonder he drinks and screws around so much.

Actually he drinks and screws because his job simply revolved around a ton of stressful shit (also acting like a drunken partier is his shtick). Russia was a “lesson learned” moment if anything. That’s also why Bond comes up with one liners all the time, it’s stress relief for his sake, not the audience’s. I had flipped through one of those oversized “All about James Bond“ books at one point. Interesting tidbits.

Now, back to our normal forum discussion!

Those will be prowling metropolitan areas by decade's end, at least in some limited fashion.

During Trump's term there were numerous music videos, works of art, tv shows, dedicated to murdering Trump and his supporters (to murdering white people in general really). People say FU to Biden does not compare to even the mildest of a Trump term day.

‘Member this little gem?

Yeah some of the insults at Trump and his family were very mess up compare to the ones at Biden. Hell it's more fair to call Biden's family a crime family than Trump's at this point.
starting to think Starset has some right wing sympathies. Or at least is anti establishment. The best song from the album, Devolution, seems to be straight up calling out the 'fake revolution' and the useful idiots of the government, naming them 'sheep eating from the paws of wolves' that 'spoon feed on their own delusions'

We've been burying the pages
We've been trying to erase this
Built a wall between the truth and us
And it's not enough

We've burned through all the witches
From the paupers to the righteous
In a bubble that will never bust

And it's not enough

Look at that shit. Purity spirals. Erasing history. Cancel culture. The growing backlash against the 'bubble' of the woke. All in the first verse. I don't know if I'm trying to attach meaning to something that's not there, especially considering that they had to write this stuff a year or so ago, but when I read the lyrics of a song and see talking points from this very fucking thread I start to wonder.
>inb4 wall reference means its about Trump

In their previous albums they've released songs expressing anti-establishment and anti-authoritarian viewpoints, so them coming out with a song calling all this bullshit out, even subtly, is rather in character for them. I don't know if I'd consider them right wing, but they're definitely not left wing, either. More like disillusioned, angry, and frustrated at the absolute state of politics right now.
Good to hear another band that I like are not lefties. Most of the bands I like are christian rock bands (something I didn't know when I first started listening to them. Belive it or not) and tend to be right wing.
She can say anything. Gaetz's district is R+20, and the one she is trying to oust him in. She isn't doing anything but grifting exceptional donors from NY and CA.

Let them waste millions on lost races. They love to burn money on stupid shit that doesn't work after all.
Oh good I love seeing a leftie who acts like their running in New York or California. Instead of a red state for instance the woman dems had running aginst mitch in Kentucky last year. I thought it was funny how she was such a lefite and didn't realized what freaking state she was in. I'm shocked dems haven't learn anything form the Louisiana governor. As he's a moderate Democrat in a blood red state. Instead they run these wild progressives in states or districts that are majority Republicans

There is not a big enough X to press for me to doubt this...
K-Hive? Are they going to have their own light sticks and fan chants like k-pop fan groups? Politicians shouldn't have groupies or fan groups. Maybe we need to bring back literacy tests at the polls.

“Gee I sure hope those UFOs the military pilots aren’t from one of our enemies rather than little green men.”

Oh, you mean like China with their totally legit hypersonic airplanes. The propaganda has been strong this week.

Why are they suddenly trying to paint China as so far advanced militarily than the US? I hope they are just trying to gin up some business for the military industrial complex and not setting the stage for compromising with China on something and blaming it on China's ability to kick our ass.

I've always thought that the elite would eventually fleece America dry and flee to China once they'd stolen/liquated anything not nailed down. The eternal leeches of society have no loyalty and follow the money wherever it flows. Worries me a bit that the press is trying to present China as this military force that can crush us at any moment.

Then again, maybe we've got so many troons in the military now that China could beat us easily. All they'd have to do is wait until our troons go on their dilation break or disrupt the HRT supplies ...

They must be worried about the proles wanting to kill him.
Maybe they are just trying to keep him from wandering off. When my grandma had dementia, you couldn't leave her alone for a minute because she would leave and start walking down the street thinking she was going to her mother's house.

Perhaps The Prisoner is a far more accurate descriptor of what the world is becoming than anything else. After all, there's no difference between the two sides anymore, as Number Two said.
I've been rewatching The Prisoner lately (protip-if watching use one of the alternate airing orders like 6 of 1 from The Prisoner Wikipedia page). It is amazing how much of what McGoohan was predicting in 1967 has come to pass.

He predicted things like the surveillance state, contact monitoring of people, cameras everywhere. The Algorithm predicting what you want to eat, buy, what you will do, where you will go. Fear, blatant propaganda, Rewriting of history, doctoring of videos. Everyone is a number. Drugs, bread and circuses and mindless pursuits to opiate the masses. Sham "democracy". Youth rebellion staged as pointless performance by the state. A world where you can trust no one and even those in charge are expendable and can't trust each other.

And the intersection of corporate control with state control. As you say, Leo McKern's Number Two laid it out in what I consider a pivotal scene (on the beach where the girl was swimming)--the two sides of the Cold War no longer matter. The amorphous Village Organization which is hinted to be very large and with tendrils in both NATO and Soviet governments is taking control. "The World as The Village"--illustrated perfectly by the end scenes of Number Two walking into the MP entrance of Parliament, where he is presumably a member, and Number 6's house door closing automatically like one in The Village.

He hasn't escaped, there's no escape, we are all in The Village now.

But even though 6 basically lost, I take heart watching his utter and total defiance at all times, especially as I refuse to be vaxxed.

Man, you articulated that brilliantly.
I'm rather young myself (mid 20s) but my late dad was a 50s baby and boy did he love The Prisoner. I probably watched it with him dozens of times when he had the TV on...

Actually, I'm gonna chalk this up as one reason I can be positive about him not being around- this sort of thing would blow his blood pressure through the roof. -<-;

His actual approval numbers are around 35-37?

RCP has his average at 42%

It's all so that whenever china invades anyplace else, they can just look the other way and say it'd be too dangerous an escalation to do anything about it.

Don't forget all those online dating profiles from women saying things like "Don't even bother messaging me if you voted for Trump and/or like him"

... in fact I think they are still doing that to this day.

thankfully, honestly I appreciate the crazy bitch warning

A good chunk of that was already predicted by Orwell.
