What's the difference between watching a vtuber because they're "cute" and watching one because they're attractive?

I would never find a male vtuber "cute" because I'm not attracted to men. If attraction is necessary to finding something "cute", is watching "loli" vtubers inherently sexual?

No amount of money and talent used on a vtuber's avatar can make up for a void of personality, Artemis. Whereas you can have a genuine shit rig or even be a PNG streamer and still be enjoyable to watch.

For instance, I was honestly not a huge fan of Watame's design when I first watched her, back when she was still using her 1.0 Live2D. But I think it's fair to say that her personality alone engrosses people rather quickly when you watch her. Her design has obviously grown on me since then.

I'm not saying an attractive avatar isn't a draw, but that wears thin real quick.

It's also a really shit question as a whole. Like asking why someone watches Anime when there are movies like Shawshank Redemption.

I find that male vtubers appeal to women more. They do get a ton less views than female vtubers, and I think that sucks. Probably because being "cute" is a BIG factor in being watched.
