Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Gen Yeager took to shitposting on Twitter a few of years before he passed, he hadn't changed a bit.

and yep he was a Trump fan
That's pretty fucking weird, but there's stranger things in life. You have a sauce for that legend though?

yeah I forget if the story goes to twitter or a live appearance
but yeah I have nothing beyond "trust me brah" and maybe I can find somebody else saying "trust me brah" in desuarchive

8 astronauts and 100 tons of cargo to mars in 175 days with Orion propulsion. Or just 44 years to alpha centauri at 10% light speed. Project Orion was epic and was just thrown away.
Not to be a sperg but it wasn't thrown away. Orion propulsion required nuclear detonation to launch the 'bell' shaped craft in to space.

They did calculations during the project phase and realised that 100k people a year would die as the result of nuclear fallout from the project, based on the population of America in the 50's, using Orion as for only NASA related launches. If Orion had taken off, with the population of America today, you could be seeing north of 250k radiation-related deaths a year. Not to mention what the fallout would do to the planet, soil and live stock.

Correct. At least here in Wisconsin, but we tend to be pretty reflective of the U.S. as a whole. Though I have made the mistake of assuming that's universal at times and been called out. But I don't see a good reason this would break from the national average, so his numbers are likely within that range nationally.
Do you see any chance of Joe getting below 30%? I know he'll never make single digits, deserved though it may be, but it'd be great to see him drop into the 20s. I don't see how he can have a solid base comprising a third of the country, the far left doesn't like him because he's not a PoC Marxist and everyone on the right despises him. Nothing about him inspires confidence, he's wrecking the lives of average Americans in a very tangible way and all his political momentum came from TDS but Trump is gone now.

To be clear, they aren't going forward with this. It's why it was proposed by a relative no-name person. Part of "throw everything at the wall, and see what sticks" is throwing bad ideas at the wall in the off chance that the negative reaction to it is less than the positive gained in some way.

Janet Yellen is NOT a no-name person. Not in the financial industry, anyway. Yeah she's dumb, yeah she's corrupt (who isn't) but she's too close to the levers of power for someone like me not to take notice of this. This is asking for a loan to commit suicide levels of stupid.

I have no doubt that there's about 25-30% of the population that Joe Biden could light on fire personally after raping their mother with a live hand grenade before telling them to "listen here, fat" that would still vote for him.

If we hit a massive depression and they continue to do fuck all, but I'd expect even this completely broken group to band together to do something about that because it'd drop them so low.

She is no-name to the general public, someone the public would look at and not immediately link to the admin itself.

Taxing unrealized capital gains would flat fucking kill investment. No chance.

Yeager was a character, though he was a better fighter pilot than a test pilot. He also got into some serious beefs with Neil Armstrong, shit-talking the 'civilian pilot mentality' and not realizing Armstrong himself was a Navy vet pilot from Korea.

The problem was that NACA (NASA's predecessor agency) needed pilots they could put in a craft, send up, bring back, and then have the pilot be able to explain in detail what might be wrong. Yeager was a hotshot pilot, but he lacked ANY engineering skills beyond the basics.

A good man, don't get me wrong, and with probably more balls than any three men on the ground.

Would they do anything helpful, or would they do something counterproductive and fuck things up more?

That's some of the crazy, flying by the seat of your pants, greatness that we're missing these days. Everybody's so concerned with procedure, brown-nosing, or muh representation.

It's why they're kicking around that shitty trillion dollar coin idea.

Not the first time. This idea came up during the Obama regime. Nothing happened. Don't believe anything will happen on this one, either.
I sorta want to see them try that trillion dollar coin bullshit, just to see what the response will be to our currency officially being worth as much as monoply money, but I also don't want to see this happen because I don't live in my own fortified compound on a private island somewhere.

I guess she's......Yellen into the void about that capital plan, huh?
