People said similar about Trump winning 2016, and Biden winning 2020. I don't think it's entirely out of the question (as Gehenna pointed out, that they would approach him, not bringing them to heel or some shit) especially given Gehenna's reasoning, though I disagree that it'd be a good idea to fuck with 230 at all as I don't trust the faggots in congress to not completely botch it as to make widespread censorship much easier.

I'm more annoyed by anytime someone says something vaguely non-doomerish either you are accused of being a Q-tard or someone comes in to concoct some theory about how it will all secretly be subverted, usually with logic that shows a lack of grasp on how anything works. It gets rather repetitive and predictable, and almost never has any actual solid reasoning beyond "We are all doomed, the end is nigh!".

Anyway, I never really seen people saying Trump would make deals and get revenge as "fantasy thinking" he's a man that build his image on making deals and even wrote about how to get even. Personally, I see him trying to make his own online forum as a way to avoid needing to make a deal with big tech or at the very least he will be in a stronger position.

Slightly off topic, but not really. I was a little bit relieved when I talked to my best friend yesterday, and he said basically the same thing that I felt, which was basically that he woke up one morning and suddenly realized that he sided more with the Republicans now. That's how I felt 18-24 months ago; if you asked me 24 months ago I probably would have said I was center-left, now I'm firmly center-right. And I know there is a saying like "If You Are Not a Liberal at 20, You Have No Heart; If You Are Not a Conservative at 40 You Have No Brain." So that is part of it, but it really feels like the overton window shift is real for a lot of people.
