KTANE would have been a disaster (the hilarious or painful type, you decide) considering they have even less proficiency in each other's first language and even less of an attention span than PekoMoon.

It isn't a stretch — and certainly not a viewpoint exclusive to 'Tribalism' or a victim complex — to look at this from a business perspective and believe that HoloEN are wanting to avoid giving NijiEN the only thing they really lack. Exposure. Certainly not now that this HoloALT stuff seems to be ramping up and they need to keep as many eyes on them as possible.

I want to ask, why would it not be NijiEN the ones blocking this collab?
If its from a business viewpoint like you say, what is there to gain? After all, whether Hololive and Holofags like it or not, NijiEN did get a foothold in the market, sometimes, even getting better numbers against HoloEN (Not using Gura as an example, obviously). So on the other side of the coin, now that they're riding a successful "wave". Why risk losing viewers to HoloEN?
And no, having 1.3 million subscribers is not really a reason if the chicken's reach has been 10k on her bigger streams and 2k-3k normally

For the record I don't really believe the rrat, but if we are trying to come up for a reason for it then it's just what seems most like to me.
If:
Hololive + NijiJP :agree:
Hololive + Indies :agree:
HolonEN + NijiEN :disagree:

Then Cover trying to not give Niji the HoloEN boost seems like the only answer, assuming that this pattern holds true and it isn't just this individual case.
If I was betting I'd put my money on Hanlon's Razor being the answer, that EN management are just arbitrary and incompetent.

For those who will be watching jewtube streams of vtubers, I suggest using https://holodex.net/ to have multiviews. Kinda annoyed some lurkers or new members not doing their reps, ngl.

- Ollie is logged in, together with Miko; building the courses to be copied (?)
- Bae is on an impromptu with JP's NPC Polka
- Blessed Polka laughs
- Matsuri on a teetee date with Ina, bumped into Bae and Polka
- Kronii is logged in the game

2) GuraxShion
- first race was neck and neck, Shion prevails
- second race was so close too, Shion still prevails
- cute noises and very jozu languages

Though the other comments in this thread are kind of right, in my opinion. It feels like HoloEN recognise their monopoly on the market and won't budge. Finana will be collaborating with Shiki Miyoshino of PRISM this week, and PRISM have collaborated with Phase Connect. VShojo have also been loosy-goosy with collabs despite their 'monopoly' on the Twitch market.

There are a myriad other explanations for Kiara's comments, but if it is Pomu then it doesn't make them look good. You'd have a dynamic of HoloEN trying to choke smaller companies out while those smaller companies try to create big waves to raise all ships amongst each other. Let's not forget which small company constantly collaborated with Nijisanji to get recognition, once upon a time.

EDIT: The extended clip does seem to suggest it's Pomu. 'I really like her, I feel like there's a connection there.' definitely alludes to her and Pomu's mutual interests and frequent chatting on twitter.
