Enough that they can slip back in if the tides turn, but also putting enough pressure on the other cabal factions to stop thinking they'll just roll over and spew anything they want. The ostensible purpose was to get them thoroughly infested to test a medication meant to kill that species of infestation. But the methods were... barbaric. No anesthesia, no quiet into the night, they just let them eat them alive, fully conscious, fully feeling, fully aware. Holy fuck.

And as I have said before, I see no real problem with "sacrificing" some animals for the greater good of mankind and animal kind, especially as we have a thousands of animals that just get put to sleep because they're unadoptable (at least in the case of research their deaths would serve a purpose) but letting bugs eat dogs' faces alive? What greater good could that be serving? It ain't child cancer or parvo research I can tell you that.

I'm not so sure about that, not with the qualifications he mentioned. There aren't a lot of very young republican office holders without a degree, nor do I honestly think the electorate would want such under almost all circumstances.
