She said that but in a following text said that she spent the night in the airport, so "Mae" is all over the place. If any of this actually happened, I assume her saying they were about to kick her out was a ploy to get Nader to come meet her or offer up his place but it didn't work.

I don't know how big that airport is, but some do. Especially with COVID protocols and having to disinfect. There are fewer flights and some overnight flights have been canceled so they can do deep cleaning. It's a pain in the ass for people traveling internationally for business because they can't stay at the airport during layovers and sometimes they now have layovers that are much longer.

Still, the fact that they didn’t boot her and she apparently slept all night there means she either said it as a weak threat to come get her, or she’s just an idiot. Or both.

I’m more impressed by the prescience of @Dutch Courage. She did exactly as you said she would, m8. It could have happened on the 18th in the evening or at night. Chantal had a 6 hour livestream titled "Cooking Dinner..healthy So Dont Ask For Lokma Lol" so she was not at Nader's. Mae is upset on the 18th because he didn't pick her up from the airport and the last phone call on the 18th is at 3:27pm. Next posted communication from Mae to Nader is on the 19th at 12:45pm. That's more than enough time to do the raping.

Edit: the evening of the 17th is not clear to me. She says she slept at the airport, but her hotel receipt says she stayed there from the 17th to the 19th. She also said she didn't have a hotel booked. So if she stayed at the airport she surely did not check in on the 17th. That receipt would not have said the 17th unless it was booked ahead of time. Not like it makes a difference but my autism wants to know.

Ok so looks like my question is answered here, Brenda arrived on the 16th or 17th early morning. Spent the night at the airport, got a hotel room but couldn't check in until 4pm the 17th. She then gets ghosted, Chantal spends the night at Naders. On the 18th Brenda is pissed. Chantal goes home in the morning, has a Starbeeze stream. Brenda and Nader seem to plan a meeting, lots of calls. 18th evening Chantal fires up live for 6 hours to mourn grandma which gives Nader hours upon hours to act. On the 19th early afternoon Nader is accused of raping.

The Ottawa airport is very small even after it was renovated about 10 years ago.

Like others have said, smaller airports often do close between the last flight of the night and the last flight of the morning. At the very least, they may not allow anyone to hang out beyond security. I can't speak to Canadian airports or Ottawa specifically. But it's not unheard of.

Maybe her dementia kicked in while she was still on the plane and just thought the plane WAS the airport as they were trying to get her off the plane.
