But if you find that when dating, you are writing off entire groups of people, like people of colour, fat people, disabled people or trans people, then it's worth considering how societal prejudices may have shaped your attractions.

Or, and I'm just thinking outside the box here, Stonewall should shut the fuck up? You don't owe anybody handjobs however fat, gay, black or special olympics they are, you don't have to justify yourself to anyone, and "the personal is political" is a recipe for making everything political, which of course is now the case. Everything from Star Wars to companies that sell overpriced coffee to basic human biology.

If everything is political, it's no longer personal. So what movies you watch, what soft drinks you like, and who you wanna fuck all become subject to the same ideological purity tests and struggle sessions as your opinions on George Floyd / global warming / Orange Badman / etc. This is a miserable way to live, and it's not surprising that the younger, hipper, more terminally online generation seems to suffer from crippling anxiety.

Eating the wrong thing could give you the shits till you died, there was war, famine, a lot of things we just don’t get here in the first world. Even our current plague situation isn’t all that bad historically speaking.

People were probably mentally fucked up. Like, really fucked up, not the sad feelings fucked up of today. And, importantly, a society or tribe couldn’t afford to just toss out healthy members for being a bit off.

So yeah, you find that ancient societies had “places” for people with differences. Simple folks, deformed or crippled folks, folks who wanted to dress/act like the opposite gender. They needed everyone.

There have always been men who want to dress up as women for various reasons, but the concept of "transgender" didn't exist in the ancient world, and generally speaking nobody pretended to believe ancient troons were literally women. In addition to Veronica Ivy, I contacted several other high profile trans women who have either written or spoken about sex and relationships. None of them wanted to speak to me but my editors and I felt it was important to reflect some of their views in this piece.
In a video which has now been deleted, YouTuber Riley J Dennis argued that dating "preferences" are discriminatory.

And on and on the trannies go about genital preferences. In an sense they have a point. It's not just about genital preferences. There are hundreds of differences between men and women. Off the top of my head:

Men's hair is thinner then women's

Oh actually agree with you on lots of this stuff! When I wrote I was assuming pre-civilization or very early civilization. Semi-nomadic tribes, very early agriculture, that time period.
By the time you get cities and writing you already have large enough groups of people that they were happy to do away with one another. My bad if I didn’t make the distinction clearer.

As for the mental illness, I wasn’t thinking of mental illness in the modern sense, and to some extent their horrid existence was normalized but, it still hurt to lose children, and up until relatively recently, it was almost expected that you would lose a baby or two. It hurts to lose your wife/partner and that probably happened a lot too. I don’t think it’s a stretch to say some folks had ptsd from the constant wars and fucking mammoth hunts. Or were a bit messed up when some illness wiped out a good percentage of the elders and the children.


On the plus side no one likely had bologna dicks so they had that going for them. Pretty sure the current crop would have never transed out anyway since they would just have be able to rape a lady sans repercussions whenever they felt like it.
