I can't think of any word trans women would like, that groups men, and trans women together.

These terms “penis haver”, “people with periods”, they suck. Because you are asking a very diverse group of people (men or women) to know which body parts/functions they have. How many cis women know what a cervix is and whether or not they have one? How about prostates? Sex ed in this country is shit to begin with, when you start getting into “people with ovaries” you’re getting to increasingly tinier portions of the population who know what you are talking about.

Trans folks of any persuasion are, by definition, going to know more about this than the average person, because they are obsessed with it. A transman knows if she has ovaries. A transwoman knows if he has a prostate.

So it follows to use the easier definition to reach the most vulnerable people in the group. “Women’s health”, “men’s health”. You might be a poor recent immigrant with a flimsy grasp of English, but your gonna figure out the word “woman” well before you catch “uterus” et al.

But again, trans are the most oppressed etc etc.

Troons should’ve kept their bullshit confined to Tumblr and other fringe groups. Going mainstream will be the death of them. We now have popular political commentaters giving attention to troons in the Olympics, troons in MMA, troons sperging at Sonic, troons mad at Dave Chappelle because they can’t bear reality,troons on Tiktok demanding no fuck them, troons advocating for puberty blocker, troons calling biology bigoted, and troons advocating for ridiculous language (“people who menstruate”) to be used in official documents and spaces. Now, they are receiving significant public pushback. Yet, troons believe that the cause of this pushback are radfems and the alt-right. They already do a better job at exposing themselves w turning off the general public than any radfem or alt-righter can do. Additionally, they don’t realize that having the support of a celebrity or politician is actually hurting them. That kind of support is helpful when the underlying message that you want people to receive and comply with is reasonable. When the underlyIng message is illogical bullshit, the only thing celebrities and politicians do is broadcast bullshit to a broad audience (who were probably previously unaware of the bullshit) that will pushback against the bullshit (i.e AOC’s trans-inclusive language).

Only time will tell if troons retreat deeper into the LGBT community thus turning it into an even bigger circus than it already is or be pushed out of the community.

Fragmentation in the LGBT community is already happening. The LGB Alliance has charity status and is gaining traction. So, hopefully with all of the negative press that troons are getting, the LGB Alliance gains more support and lost lesbian spaces can be reestablished.

My pet theory that I've probably brought up before (and seems relevant since we've been talking about other societies/cultures) is that there's space in society for a sort of "third gender" role. Other cultures have had them and at least accepted them at points. Something for "these men want us to treat them like women" and "these women want us to treat them like men". And we kinda had that for a while - think Dan Savage 10-15 years ago saying wanting to fuck a tranny isn't the same as wanting to fuck a gay man, but it's also not the straightest thing ever. The old school t-girls were mostly fine being labelled as such and banging chasers, and the old school trans men were generally ok with hanging out with lesbians and being treated similarly to stone butches.

The pushback that's resulting is not from trans people being more visible in general, it really is because they're trying to merge the third gender into the existing framework. If trans people weren't saying they're exactly the same as cis people and it's transphobic not to fuck them (or Aidens demanding access to gay saunas), or demanding they should compete in sports, or demanding access to prisons, hospital wards, shelters, Korean jjimjilbangs, or demanding access to children, or demanding you use their pronouns because of self ID rather than any effort on their part - would any of us care that much? Some would, but I don't think there'd be anywhere near as much ire. I think it's because AGPs and fujos aren't third genders but are demented fetishists (or are women trying to escape being women), and because nobody bothered to address the elephant in the room the paradigm's shifted over the last 10 years (and influenced the HSTS and "straight" trans men).

The best outcome for the trans community would be people going "trans women aren't women, but they're also not men" and then acknowledgement that there's a contingent of fetishists who need sorting out. But that's not how pendulum swings tend to work.
