So as I just inhaled some more fine cannabis vapors to help allay the sense of boiling rage I feel day by day in currentyear, I was struck by a ponderance.
And no I'm not going to go stonerbro and start making a case for it. But with all this REEEEing and screeching about needing to find money to pay for his bullshit plan, why have all the "legalize it, bro!" factions among the Dems all shut up suddenly?
Obviously legalizing pot sales and taxing it nationwide wouldn't generate anything close to 3.5t, but on a state by state level it could generate enough billions for those states to help offset some of the costs of getting the "infrastructure" up and running, and is a topic that even the most hardline conservatives don't put too much fight into anymore given all the other shit in context. It would be such an easy fucking win for them, and would provide them with a source of at least some revenue that was just a straight up tax rather than punitive robbery via taxation.
The only thing that makes sense to me is confirmation of what has been suspected for a while, that they're not even concerned about money in terms of funding the infrastructure, they are concerned with the control it will allow them to take over every facet of people's daily lives, from the news they get in the morning to the food they eat to the things they spend their money on.
This is all being done much the same way FDR did his new deal shit. He robbed private gold owners by outlawing private ownership of certain quantities of gold and requiring them to sell it to the government, then suddenly the price doubled the next year while the government conveniently had taken possession of so much of the citizenrys gold.
