Just lots of very bizarre things like that going on, but apparently there's gonna be yet another panel on Wednesday and it's being speculated that's where they may show Blaster and the Cores.

That's pretty clever honestly. Figure he's gonna be stable considering how the little ramp/shield battlemasters they were coming out with a while back had torsos or limbs made entirely of translucent plastic and somehow haven't been dying. There's also the chance they could do what the larger scale translucent plastic figures do where they make points that take a lot of stress out of solid plastic

I’m willing to bet that Starscream and Metroplex’s minicons are also translucent.

The problem with translucent plastic is load-bearing joints, despite the fearmongering not all translucent plastic parts are bad.

Minicons usually don’t have load-bearing joints because they’re so damn small. The Eject/Rumble/Frenzy/Knok mold is mostly swivels with soft ratchets in the shoulders.

Oh and this is most likely what Legacy Menasor will look like.

Speaking of translucent plastic with paint on it, I'm just glad I got the selects "Unicron galvatron" before he sold out. wasn't so lucky with the deluxe zartan, or the restock of said zartan. Despite ravage and him both showing up in several other markets around the world despite supposedly being sdcc/pulsecon exclusives he sold out fucking instantly on both initial stock and restock. Ravage is still in stock last time I checked which means the figure I wanted the most is either the most stocked, least popular somehow, or the least targeted by scalper bots. I'm gonna guess it's a stock thing because of the other cases of when aa fan favorite character that hadn't had a figure in forever came out, despite it being a popular and solid enough figure, they eventually ended up on discount in a lot of places. Overlord, fortress maximus, and trypticon being like the 3 main ones I can think of, and all 3 of them I waited to long for a second price drop so now they're all fucking expensive again forever.

It's fucking weird how the primary draw they focused on in the unicron galvatron was the accessories for unicron, a figure nobody can buy anymore. I have no use for them but they look nicer than the shit that came with unicron so I'll probably keep them.

Considering that you can't buy ANY form of Galvatron still, the translucent version is the most readily available and is the physical embodiment of the 1980's Grid futurism style packaging.

I'm still looking for Kingdom Walgreen Red Alert, I heard that he'll be out by november but I can't remember where I read that.

Whats weird about the "unicron dlc" galvatron is it's clearly a selects release they repurposed into a pulsecon exclusive last minute. The box it comes in is literally just another selects box. Before people found out it was going to be event exclusive there were leakers and shit talking about it as a selects release. How long it took to sell out is comparible to other popular selects releases. It's the only "pulsecon exclusive" to come in a plain brown generation selects style box and that really says something.

Speaking of the "in scale accessories" for unicron, none of them are actually in scale. the spaceships are nearly the same size as the mini robots made for unicron and the ark. The ships are too big for unicron's bot mode too, as one of the ships goes through his eye in the actual movie. I'm more or less looking at these like the Titanium autobot shuttle from back in the day, the arialbots that come with titans return broadside/tidal wave, or the small revenge ships galvatron comes with in all his kingdom releases. Cool mini representations of things not really scaled to anything. All I can say is those tiny robots are thankfully comparible to the tiny optimus rather than the shit nugget gimped rodimus and galvatron figures that came with unicron. Kinda wish this set came with the versions of those that were initially announced before the sculpts were changed last second to the shit ones. Sure, the original mini galvatron was based on his titans return figure, but he actually looked like galvatron instead of a purple blob.

The price bump on the ravage box set from 33 to 45 to 50 after it was listed as "coming soon" is the biggest "what the ever loving fuck" kinda moment surrounding the whole pulsecon shit this year for me. Those aren't the exact prices but you get me.

If venom is still in stock when I get more spare cash I'm definitely gonna get him, though he's not a top priority. Xavier and loganfrom last year were still in stock too last time I checked, which is interesting.
EDIT: Venom says sold out now but like SG megatron he's still in my cart somehow where it says he's IN stock. No extra spending cash right now so I'm not gonna see if it's a case like megatron where he's somehow in stock yet also marked as out of stock because of weird fucking site functions fucking up but yeah if so I'm probably not gonna have him. Oh well.

Commiting the grave sin of double posting solely so my triple ramble from the last one doesn't blend into this one.

SG megatron's expected ship date was bumped up to TODAY but he has not shipped. Ravage has also not shipped yet, somehow. Other people have already gotten both days ago apperently. Who knows, maybe they're waiting to put the orders into a single shipping box or something. Weirdly, same day as the megatron getting inverse-un-delayed up to today another order of a similarly priced yet unrelated item got delayed till november. Had a mini heart attack thinking I was gonna get hit with a triple whammy of price dispensal.

Remind me to take a pic of the 3 or so galvatrons I have save for the first release of the universe one that'sin the basement somewhere and the energon one which I don't feel like yanking out of another room's upper shelf. Shit there's also the titans return one damn. Six galvatrons from across the ages reside in the dark corners of this house. once the 2 selects ones come out it'll be 8, dear god. Granted it's nowhere near the amount of megatrons and optimus primes but like galvatron IS megatron so that's just doubling up the number of megatrons going on. Actually that'd be a cool image to take but it'd require me going through a bunch of old storage boxes in the basement, and with how my last venture went I am concerned of whats gonna happen if I try that again lmao

As to your earlier comment, all the stuff thrown in with Reformatting Galvatron is Unicron’s stretch goals that were never achieved. This was their way of making money on that unused mold, I suppose if you have the Ark you can fill out the bridge.

If you ask me it isn’t, unlike Optimus and Megs Galvatron has been cursed, his figures always sucked. We’ve had to wait till NOW to get one worthy of the character (best TF character) and even then the new one is compromised, it’s good, arguably great but still compromised.

Only options for that as far as I know are Dx9 tyrant, which is a third party masterpiece/leader size figure, and Newage Darius, a legends scale figure. Nothing inbetween those 2 scales, save for maybe the universe deluxe.

I still think he should’ve had articulated hands, those “ship guns” really detract from his score, for me at least. I’m a nitpicky asshole but it’s from me wanting a good Galvatron since I was seven and saw Transformers: The Movie on TV.

When I get my hands on Selects Galvatron I’m gonna make him perfect.

Selects galvatron is an interesting casein the sense his shoulder pylons are painted red but apperently cast in the same color as his torso going off the paint chipping I've seen in some reviews around the tabs. if I had enough spare cash and was confident enough I'd get a second to heavily mod into the all grey/silver with the yellow/white eyes kind of galvatron rather than the hybridized toy/comic aesthetic galvatron.

Aiming toat some point possibly mod articulated hands onto galvatron. Whether by using the method others are using of adding the KFC hands or, shit like this.

This is a custom hands set for 30th springer I saw online YEARS ago but never pulled the trigger on getting. Weirdly springer, the MP carbots, and now galvatron all have similarly sized hands with the same size of peg. Shapeways bumping up their production costs has had me holding back even more than initially lmao but it looks like it might work.

Speaking of shapeways, there's also custom combiner wars prime heads out there, and due to the fact I found out the CW prime head and WFC prime's head have the same size balljoint and fit each other easily, I've been tempted to get this custom toxitron/scourge head, even moreso now with the actual g2 retool of earthrise prime coming out. https://www.shapeways.com/product/N...head-damaged?optionId=63453357&li=marketplace

I'm expecting Ravage to be repainted into Botcon Tigatron and Blackarachnia into Botcon Arcee for Generation Selects or some weird ass box set.

We still need a decent bat for Onyx Primal but more than likely Terrosaur and Rattrap can be redone as Fractyl and Packrat. I've been looking through past botcon exclusives and Hasbro has been redoing them at a much faster rate since Prime Wars Trilogy. Like SDCC Throne of Primes was based off of pre-earth Optimus Primal and prior to that you got some stuff like Alpha Trion.

But we're now at the point where Shattered Glass is now it's own line and former weird convention releases are mainstream mass releases.
