Welp, I made a post a day or two a go about the Idol earnings but today came across something today which makes me think I was woefully mistaken when it comes to the profit margin on merch. I guess things probably are a little different in Japan and I still think they do stuff like Nendo's more for the prestige than the pay out, but I was definitely wrong for the most part so I'll own that.

Lord have mercy on the KFP members thinking they'll "cancel" this clipper or that even if they do that there aren't plenty of others doing the same thing
If this kinda stuff worked Otakmori would be gone by now, and coomerbait clippers would get straightened out as well. These problems persist for even the JP girls and they have a barrier for entry for clippers having to learn Japanese.

Jumping on the drama bandwagon for the EN girls doesn't even have that barrier to entry so the hydra heads will just spawn faster. and all this fuss while Kiara herself says she's fine and doesn't care and basically asks her viewers to not do... more or less what they're doing right now. Ah what a glorious mess it all is.

Idiots fighting idiots is always truly the best timeline.

I thought that group fucked off of youtube because of the coco stuff refusing to support hololive anymore. I might be misremembering though.

At any rate That and this I would say are miles apart in terms of scale "They sided with China against Coco" and "they keep clipping Kiara sadposting" are just different leagues entirely. Though some of the folks on reddit seem to have riled it up into something much larger saying he's "Fueling a war between Nijisanji and Hololive" but those people are just mental. other clippers have commited worse offenses and still remain to this day.

But like I said, even if they somehow DO shut the guy down....... there'll be 3 more channels clipping the same shit to replace him rendering it all futile.
I have a suspicion that some people from HoloMoments, those are still fans of Holo/doesn't care about what the chinks think, are either joining or forming up their own clippers group, like Sushi or Kiriku

lol, I always suspected merchs drop will lead to huge revenues, but not that extent. The question, however, are how much cut the partners are going to take. Huge companies partners are probably going to take lots of cuts, if not just paying for their license. For the latter's case, looking at the example of the sport industries, will most likely not give the idol/talent/creators that very much compared to the former

VSPO recently implemented a policy that means clippers have to fill an application form and be given their unique 'Clipper ID' before they're permitted to create content using VSPO's IP.

It's not a perfect plan, and I'm not sure what the implications are for brand new clippers with no pedigree, but it does put VSPO in a position where they can allow clippers to do whatever whilst also rejecting an Otakmori on the spot.

Just thought it was interesting to see that 'Excuse My Rudeness, But Could You Please RIP?' is up to nearly 26 million views, a certified monster hit. I hope whoever hired Calli got a bonus.

A good reason for Polka to study English curses:

Nina's streaming Darkest Dungeon 2 on launch day, I can definitely agree that this is enjoyable. She's a lot more watchable sperging about games she likes than going honey every ten seconds.
Agreed. I have no point of reference for anything in Darkest Dungeon so I have only been tuning in whilst browsing other vids, but not only does she drop the honey, she also simmers on the voice. She's totally immersed in whatever is happening and dare I say it's actually pleasant to watch.
Despite her tech-illiterate boomer schtick, it actually seems like she's the biggest gamer of her wave.
Since Nina explicitly dismissed criticism of her honey spam (which I agree is annoying) and apparently can only be drawn away from it by gaming, this got me thinking: what do Nina's current viewers think of it? Do they actually like it or are they just better at ignoring it? I'm drawing parallels with the complaints Kronii got about her "disinterest" when clearly her deadpan style is just not for them.

Based on the reactions of a few communities I swim in:

• Russian fans don't recognise it as a tic and therefore don't care. She doesn't have a 'honey' equivalent when she's speaking Russian and French.
• Some fans have described themselves as having gotten used to it and more or less tune it out.
• I have yet to meet an English-speaking fan who plainly says they're a fan of her quirk.

So it seems the majority of people (based on who I've spoken to) range from complete numbness to inability to recognise it. The nicest thing you will probably hear is that it's 'endearing'.

I'm not a fan, because it discourages any casual clipper/translator; so you basically have to be really into VSPO to even begin to care to file an application form.
Again, any form of inconvenience is the biggest barrier for most people.

It may stop potential clippers from taking things out of context, but it can also stop their potential to reach more people outside of their core audiences.

To this I’ll add that quick looksee shows 90% of her Russian clips being focused on her mommy shtick. And the rest are collab minglings. Just like English clips.

I don’t think “honey” is going away anytime soon. She is purposefully being a contrarian. Sad.

I don't understand why she thinks using it constantly is such a good idea. If she wants to lean into the mommy thing so much, then fine, but there are better ways to help it come across rather than just spamming honey. Does she not realize it comes off more patronizing than it does motherly?

I don't think it's any better that people are learning to tune it out rather than embrace it.

I’ll reiterate what I wrote several times before: in my opinion, at this point she does it out of spite. She is just that type of person.
“Imma strong and independent woman who is a professional streamer who finally got her rightful place in nijisanji. Fuck them cunts thinking they know better what I should or shouldn’t say on stream.”

depends how open they are to giving out IDs and their policies. if it's just as a formality and clippers can monetize etc like before it shouldn't be much of an issue, fuck around and find out.
of course it depends how many people would be willing to sign up which could be an issue for smaller corps, but that shouldn't be a problem for holo/niji if the only clause is "don't clip like a retard to extract ad money out of our IP".

@Scuttle why did ibrahim issued an official apology on Twitter? Do you know the reason.
Huh, this is something you don't see everyday.
Ibrahim from Niji posted an official apology, apparently for off topic talk while a video was playing during Nijibara (Niji's talkshow)

You'll have to forgive me as I'm pretty sick today, so I can't translate as much as I'd like.

That said, yeah, it's pretty much as it is.

For those who don't know, NijiBara is a variety show they do with a rotation of different hosts. One of the segments is when Debi-debi Debiru goes behind-the-scenes in restaurants to see how dishes are made before trying the food and promoting them. During this segment, Ibrahim and Takamiya Rion kind of talked over it as if they weren't watching or taking an interest, which can naturally be seen as disrespectful to the restaurant and Debi's efforts to make the show.

The response to Ibrahim's apology seems to be overwhelmingly positive, with a lot of people citing that he's hosted the previous 19 episodes competently in the past, and has enough good faith to burn as long as it doesn't happen again. One of those things that won't linger.

Did you know that Xia Ekavira of NijiID wave SIX (6) plays pro evolution soccer? Well I didn't

It's pretty weird to see weebs play sports games, but it's a welcome change. Nijisanji had a 33-man (3x11 teams) eFootball tournament a couple of months ago and it was about as chaotic as you'd expect.

Here's all the POVs if you're interested!

What type of bird is BP? I may or may not have some family members who are bird breeders and as such might have an understanding of how to calm them down. From the sounds of it BP is either a Green Cheek or a Sun Conyer. If that's the case I recommend something that spins or giving them a cloth to wrap themselves in.

If it's a Cockatoo or Mollucan good fucking luck, the thing will never shut up.
