US Joe Biden News Megathread - The Other Biden Derangement Syndrome Thread (with a side order of Fauci Derangement Syndrome)

Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

I can buy that being a thing before dementia. But I’ve been around someone who had it. There’s no doubt in my mind Biden has some form of it, especially now
Yeah pre-dementia he was like those guys who are old and act like they did when they were attractive, not knowing that it's ok to do some stuff when good-looking but now that you're old af it's creepy to do those things.

Now? He's just full-on dementia like my family members who have/had it.

Jack Posobiec — ‘Multiple sources confirm Jill Biden has asked about using 25th Amendment to get rid of Kamala Harris’…

Given Biden's record this year I don't think this will go the way they think it will.

Then again, if you had the chance to cuck every progressive in the country by vigorously fucking over one woman, should you do it?

Sorry but @Gehenna ,ot anyone else, how could the 25th amendment apply to Kamala but not a dementia patient?
I looked up the text of the 25th Amendment just to be sure, and the answer is it doesn't.

The amendment has four sections, which briefly summarized are:
  1. If the President is removed in any way (through death, resignation, or impeachment), the VP becomes President.
  2. If the VP is removed in any way, the President nominates a new VP, who becomes VP upon a majority vote from both chambers of Congress.
  3. If the President informs Congress through written declaration that he is unable to perform his duties, the VP becomes Acting President until such time as the President sends another declaration that he's capable of resuming.
  4. If the VP and a majority of either the Cabinet or Congress believe that the President is unable to perform his duties, they can enact a process to remove him from office temporarily, with the VP becoming Acting President. It's basically the same as Section 3, but with the ability of the VP and Cabinet/Congress to override the President's declaration, with the matter then being sent to Congress who can vote to continue to keep the President out with a two-thirds majority.
There's no way to use the 25th to get rid of a VP, nor can the VP be fired through other means. The only way to get Kamala out of the White House would be to have Congress impeach her or to put some sort of backroom pressure on her to resign. The former would never happen, and the latter is unlikely. Kamala assuredly doesn't like the position she's in now that she realizes she isn't the power behind the throne like she thought she'd be, but she also knows there's really nothing equal or better for her right now. What's she gonna do, go back to being a Senator? Depending on if/when Feinstein kicks the bucket, she could miss that opportunity.

So yeah, sorry Jill, you're stuck with the cackling harpy, just like America is.

While I dont want to see the fed gov spending a single dollar on anything, I do find it darkly amusing that they are always quick to cut anything that results in direct transfer of money into individuals hands. Everything must be a go between slush fund that will be distributed by their cronies resulting in nothing being received by actual individuals. Its just like when the $2000 dollar stimulus became $1,400 (or whatever it was). They will cut this and other things like it and the bill will still be $1 trillion with no one actually seeing any personal dollar from it. If only the slave democrat voters could see this.

Think about it for a minute, this original bill was over $3 trillion. There is roughly 330,000,000 people in the US. If this bill was a direct payment to every man, woman and child it would be approx. $9,090 payment each (check my math on this). Just think about that.

Not likely gonna happen given Dem factionalism + the Senate balance, but it could be interesting if they try it.

Dare I even hope:

1) Kamala steps down as VP
2) Congress deadlocks on choice of new VP
3) then Biden dies or goes stark raving insane and can't be put in front of a mic for even a second

I know it's kind of a fantasy scenario but it's pretty funny to think about

Just give him opening level quotes from the NES game Bad Street Brawler and let him loose in the field.
You just said the one thing that could make me attend a Biden rally: A guarantee of him giving a speech that includes lines like "Friends come and go but enemies accumulate." and "Never trouble trouble 'til trouble troubles you!"

Just amazing to see these people turn on each other like a bunch of winos fighting over the last drink in a bottle. Don't believe the 25th applies to a VP. Also Harris doesn't even come close to meeting the lack-of-function criteria for removal under the 25th, unlike Joey, who needed to be 25thed months ago. Like her or not, and I sure don't, Harris' problem is lack of motivation to do anything, not lack of mental capacity.

Manchin would be an absolute idiot if he jumped ship.

Right now he can write his own ticket. Everyone has to come to him for anything and Dem operatives and MSM cant destroy him with real or imagined dirt because they’d cost themselves control of the Senate in doing so. If he were to defect, they’d crucify him over it. He wouldn’t just be cancelled, him and his entire family would be ruined. And for what? To hand the keys over to McConnell who’s more than willing to deal anyway? Nah, Manchin is going to stay right where he’s at and he’ll vote to pass this bullshit once the Dems get desperate enough to pay him enough for his vote because he knows as well as everyone else that the Dems NEED this win to bolster the Admin’s numbers and feed into their narrative going into Election ‘22. The longer he holds out, the bigger his payday becomes.
How are you so consistently wrong? Ignoring whether Manchin will flip or not, -that isn't how congress works-. This isn't a Hollywood movie, there are no fat paychecks for 'voting the right way', none of this works like that. They already want to 'cancel' him and ruin his family for now voting, they already wanna crucify him. They already placed that pressure on him to force him to vote. He's already getting all the negatives of switching, so in that area, you are just flat out wrong too. On McConnell, you are again flat out wrong. McConnell has made clear where his red lines are, and does not have a history of going back on them for anything -but- the debt ceiling (Yes, I have issues with that but still, that's an aside).

There. Is. No,. Payday. There is no 'bigger payday' for holding out. Congress doesn't work that way, and nothing else you said matches reality.

That is all already true, Machin and Sinema basically get to cock block Biden at every turn. Sure it will put The GOP In control of the senate but that just means we get cucked by Turtle Boy like every other time Republicans have gotten into the senate, and it gives the Propaganda Machines on TV the ability to blame the GOP for everything not passing with all that stupid "PARTY OF NO" shit that halways happens during a lame Duck Democrat.

Right now The Democrats have control of both Chambers and the Presidency, everything that happens is on them. They can't convince two of their own to vote yet? That is their problem.

Edit : Just noticed the Title of the thread got changed.

COPE AND SEETHE HARDER.
It's not quite as true as you think, and there is a subtle difference between a BlueDog and a RINO. Both are expected to, and will, join their parties on core proposals. Everyone backs the same dog when it comes time to do the small shit. While the big stuff like the bills mentioned are more contentious, the smaller ones that can fuck you over with much less fanfare still can pass because they become immediate party-line votes. Party line votes that would no longer occur.

King Dead has it 100%

You know I was going to legit ask this, but you posted first.

What the fuck IS left in his bill?
None of the things they can brag about. What's more interesting is "What has been cut out that the Dems actually wanted". The pork is getting cut, but the question is what bits of it? They don't broadcast that for obvious reasons.
