When I use the term culturally right wing it encompasses 3 things:
1. Belief in the value of nation states over transnational organisations
2. Valuing tradition over modernity
3. A belief in the rights of the individual rather than the group
A cultural lefty would see things inverted. In the example you gave I would say that what you've described is quite culturally right (the belief in strong borders, no special treatment for "vulnerable" groups etc..) and economically center, center left. This fits pretty closely with my political position. And in today's world, that position is clearly right wing and much more in line with populist Republican than any flavour of democrat.
And long may you be able to do that. I joined this forum mostly to speak about politics and catch up with the latest news. This site is a really good aggregator and chronicle for news. I understand this site was made to laugh at people, I respect that, and am happy to mostly sit here in this corner of the internet.
