First time I've ever heard of hair splinters too, but given the footage she shows, the logical thing would've been to try and remove whatever it was at home. Or maybe not wait for so long after the inflammation kicked in. She says she stepped on something 2 weeks prior to the video - that's a long ass time to be walking with pain without investigating the cause of it herself.

A big factor is that thanks to farm subsidies, corn and soy are added to all kinds of foods. The composition of food in America in 1950 is different than in 2020 and not in a good way. This does not excuse the obesity rates because anyone who is getting fat can do a course correction right away and there are so many resources out there that are accessible to everyone that there is no legitimate excuse. This is unlikely to be true (conspiracies are hardly ever so neat), but also consider that if this was true, how do regular Americans become thin and hot enough to become celebrities in the first place?
If you travel outside the US the reasons why so many Americans became fat will be made apparent; if you travel outside the west you'll see why most westerners are fat
Yep. Most elite are that way because they are public-facing. Most people know fatness to be a disorder so there is more confidence in a well put together person talking about a long term business strategy than a 400 pound tub. Nevertheless there are plenty of fat rich people out there but high paying careers often require them to look sharp, which is hard to do when lugging around 100 pounds of excess adipose tissue. Most fatties will never get that because any ambition they have is outweighed (pun intended) by their laziness. The best they often can do is a cushy government gig. They will never understand why looking good for your job is important.Anyway, I wouldn't say celebrities are, as a group, the health "elite" just because they tend to not be obese. It's certainly easier for them to stay healthy with tons of money and support staff, but they usually have to stay slender because it's part of their job. A lot of them pork out when they fall out of the public eye, so it's not an issue of education.
There' is no secret cabal keeping the secret of health under wrap, my dude. The insta diet seems pretty shitty: a lot of influencers and starletts seem to eat very little actual food and a lot "supplements" and "vitamines" that they wouldn't need if they ate some earthy food from time to time and got their nutrients from there.Maybe there is actually a conspiracy in the USA to make people fat? Maybe the celebrities are given information on what healthy foods are, but the regular American people they are only given the unhealthy food, and the rich elites are making the average person obese while hoarding the healthy food and secrets only for the rich elite movie stars and models.
April's eyes remind me of Beckah's eyes. Like, in 10 years, Bekah's current "I'm screaming but with my eyes" look is going to transform into April's "I'm not even on Planet Earth, I'm so dissociated from myself" look.in this video, at 5-2" 283 lbs, April says her "waist is a bit defined now". These gorls are comedy gold!
April's eyes are the emptiest of the fat gorls, IMO. She's like a robot that can only smile and be fat. Like idk maybe she's a super nice person, but her whole schtick just seems super pointless and empty to me. She's always so happy, so excited, but like, for what? I feel like if she ever got to have a baby she would just rock its cradle while staring at the wall and smiling that same blank smile.April's eyes remind me of Beckah's eyes. Like, in 10 years, Bekah's current "I'm screaming but with my eyes" look is going to transform into April's "I'm not even on Planet Earth, I'm so dissociated from myself" look.
I was once at the beach with this old lady with diabetes and her nerves were so dead from neuropathy that she couldn't feel the heat of concrete in 98 degree weather and literally cooked the bottom of her foot off, leaving all of the skin and blood on the sidewalk and trailing blood all the way to the car without even noticing. It might be possible she has a bit of diabetic neuropathy in her feet and she either isn't admitting to diabeetus, is in denial about it, or honestly doesn't know. Denial would be the most likely imo because saying "well I am fixing it with my lifestyle change, soon I won't have diabetes anymore, so I may as well not have it now" would be consistent with her approach. Plus, seeing a doctor for something this stupid would make sense.
If the doctor knows she has the beetus they might've advised April to always be safe rather than sorry when it comes to minor foot injuries.
It could also be pills but it seems like she's just a little dim and has impulse control problems.
I disagree. Bekkah's entire appearance screams, "anxiety, depression, and acute self-loathing." April's fake rictus grin and crazy eyes scream, "Cluster B personality disorder (probablt Borderline)," and always has. Even in her oldest pics where she's still skinny, she's got that crazy, Cluster B look.April's eyes remind me of Beckah's eyes. Like, in 10 years, Bekah's current "I'm screaming but with my eyes" look is going to transform into April's "I'm not even on Planet Earth, I'm so dissociated from myself" look.
Truly. Not to be one of those people, but American produce is SO expensive and not very good quality, at least compared to Australia. The fruit and veg industry is subsidised which might be why we have ads on tv for eating more bananas, for mushrooms from the national mushroom producers lol. There' is no secret cabal keeping the secret of health under wrap, my dude. But Misinformation about food is rampant and everybody has an opinion. I often see people who don't have very healthy habits (smokers, partake in hard drugs regularly, clearly not fit...) accusing a wholesome snack of mine of being unhealthy. If i drink milk it's apparently bad for me and will give me cancer, or so says the co-worker with the little cancer stick burning between his finger. OKAY! Everybody is free to pick their poison of choice but they could also grab some self-awareness on the way it wouldn't hurt.
To this extend there's too much information out there, most of it is designed by marketing teams to sell stuff and some people may get confused. But i think at the end of the day, most people know they should eat more unprocessed food, more vegetables (including the ones who are bitter/ an acquired taste, not just easy flavour like avocados and carrots) and shouldn't spend their days sitting either behind a wheel, or in front of a screen. The reasons they don't aren't simple.
Fatties have half a good point when they say that they can't help being fat when modern American life is as it is. First, food is bad and badly regulated. There's too much additives in everything. There is an overproduction of some crops like for example corn, so corn is put in everything, often in the form of syrup, but it's true for some cheap oils.
There's a cute viral twitter post about bread that illustrates the problem (What pass for bread here is garbage, other countries have better bread and i am not just talking about France) but it isn't just bread that is a problem. Basic amenities are lower quality that they should be and fresh produces more expensive that they should be. Food deserts are also a real thing. In some other countries even the "generic" products are gonna be pretty good or even very good. Finding good, tasty food isn't as easy as it should be in a country that rich, that pours so much public money into it's agriculture (so the problem isn't that doing anything else would be communism, that shit is subsidized to hell and back, just not in a way that maximize the quality of the products ) and If nothing taste good you don't get satisfied by eating a normal amount of simple food, you need to add taste in it in the form of fat and sugar.
Also alienating work-life and lack of support for mental heath problems: people find eating garbage is the most available coping mechanism for their unhappiness. No time to cook. Shitty food culture. Aggressive industry.
And since cities are designed for cars, nobody get their 6000 daily steps of whatever the number should be.
Sorry to derail the tread a bit, hope you found the walltext tolerable
I could easily make a huge salad (romaine, bell pepper, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, avocado, etc.) for a family for <$10 in my part of the US where produce isn't particularly affordable. Please don't let the fatty American narrative fool you that eating healthy is so expensive and impractical and basically only for elites. There are loads of excuses, and fast food is quite expensive now, too.Truly. Don't get me wrong, health is worth paying for expensive produce, but it's much easier for a family on a tight budget to have salad most nights a week if it's not $20 for all the ingredients.
I often don't drive because public transport even in the metro suburbs is so good here. But when I spoke about catching the bus when in the states it was very much a ghetto thing, even in a nice area. Here rich little old ladies will catch public transport because it's common.
The West is fat because of our horrible food culture and sedentary jobs and consoomerism, the USA is especially fat because produce is double the price and you can't get around without a car in even otherwise well-serviced suburbs. And probably something to do with mental illness treatment inaccessibility
I think there's just a lot of evolutionary reasons a deep fried ____ tastes good. It takes a more educated and time conscious (or just concious) person in general to overcome that, especially in America because while it's not always the cheapest option it's always the quickest and most convenient. There are some chains like sweetgreen that are trying to change that but it's not going to be overnight, taste buds get used to high fat, high carb. The pandemic just furthered this shitty food culture, you've got obese 20 somethings spending 30 bucks on 4K calories of fried shit and carb laden sauces. They aren't Chantal, but they are already pre-diabetic at 27 most likely. And as the previous poster mentioned the sedentary culture doesn't help either. Most Americans don't live in the density needed to sustain a walkable shopping district.I could easily make a huge salad (romaine, bell pepper, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, avocado, etc.) for a family for <$10 in my part of the US where produce isn't particularly affordable. Yeah, I'm in a relatively healthy country and I'm even I'm noticing that convenience food is being pushed so aggressively it's hard to escape. You're already surrounded by snacks and candy 24/7 these days and now Takeaway.com is running ads continuously from 16:00-20:00 every fucking day on tv and youtube. I will admit sometimes I have a perfectly fine cooked meal ready and after three of those bloody ads my brain goes 'you should order out burgers, treat yourself'. I am not a commie and people have personal responsibility, but I still feel these marketing practices are despicable and should be regulated more.I think there's just a lot of evolutionary reasons a deep fried ____ tastes good. It's a Dutch ratking owning all the other take-out companies too! So Americans suffer most from this and they didn't even start it. That's pretty dire.Just Eat Takeaway.com N.V. (formerly Takeaway.com) is a Dutch multinational online food ordering and delivery company based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. It is the parent company of brands including Takeaway.com, Just Eat, SkipTheDishes, Grubhub, and Menulog.
Fast food is expensive (so anyone claiming otherwise is bullshitting) but produce is still double the price it is in Oz, my experience from staying in the South and in Cali for a bit, has shown me. That's not to say healthy food and fresh produce is expensive in the States though.I could easily make a huge salad (romaine, bell pepper, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, avocado, etc.) for a family for <$10 in my part of the US where produce isn't particularly affordable. All I see is April being a terminally ill consumer one again. And she has a merch line now because her sister encouraged her to start one. I actually like the watercolour pumpkin, but it looks laughably small on those huge tarps.in this video, at 5-2" 283 lbs, April says her "waist is a bit defined now". These gorls are comedy gold!
Wow, ableist shitlord much? Don't you know, that not giving in to every desire you have, you're restricting and thus actively participating in diet culture and self harm!? Bigot."your body is the least important thing about you" wtf you live in it, it defines you and how long and happy you live
what. the. hell
Also why "eat today you deserve it" always means "stuff yourself on tonn of awful food" and not "eat diverse and adequate in calories" as it should be? If you love your body why don't feed it with nutrients it needs?
Imagine your whole world revolving around being fat - and all of your commentators talking only about your appearance, either how are you stupid for balooning or praising you for being brave to show yourself balooning. No other topics. Also, shut the fuck up Bekah, get a job that is actually fullfilling, close your social media accounts and find a better therapist.
