Is it too much to ask the court to stop throwing Rusty lifelines? The reason he's appealing is because the judge's dismissal specifically said he can appeal the decision, hence why he's flinging the appeal out the same day he gets the judge's dismissal.

He was going to appeal anyway; he just wanted to try a rule 59(e) motion first.

Appealing a denied Rule 59 motion rather than a judgment is usually the right way to do an appeal. It gives you a chance to clarify your arguments and set them up for appeal.

Pretty sure Russ did the right thing completely by accident. He certainly didn't clarify his arguments and just used the motion to whine more about his plights.

They're insane unreasonable people, and for whatever reason society has decided to enable them. Whether it's people like Russ and Melinda who can sue on tax payer dime while Null foots his own bill. Or the troons who run tech companies and deplatform anyone who thinks kids taking hormones and getting their dick chopped may not be a good idea. I believe that a lot of us would gladly donate to keep this site going, but it needs to be spelled out that we are genuinely at risk here, and the method of donation needs to be pretty simple and convenient. The information on how to get money to you is buried in small print unless one seeks out ways to contribute.

A merch run costs money and time and effort and I don't think you get much return for it.

Please, it is worth it to a lot of us to have this site where we can go and speak freely. I don't want the fucking cows to win.--EVER!! So do a broadcast post with the simplest method you can come up with for donating (some of us are rancid boomers) and perhaps there are enough people here who will put their money where they put their two cents' worth in regularly.

this could work, again well within the TOS, and if he decides to which vexatious litigation the funding goes to, and all donating agree to that, there really should not be an issue if he decides to fund Null with donations.
